  1. Can't say it will or not but I do see two issues. 1. Fiber Cement dust is extremely fine and abrasive. It could shorten the life of the saw. I would highly recommend a quality dust collection setup. 2. The kerf on a fiber cement blade is wider than the thin kerf blades on the Flex Volt blades.
  2. I'm waiting for them to go on clearance down here in Texas. Would love to snag these for 1¢
  3. 361' outdoor, full sun. Try that with a common LDM. You'd never see the laser dot.
  4. It arrived yesterday, I've had the chance to play with it a little bit and the most important feature that can not be matched with common LDM's is the camera feature. The camera feature makes outdoor, daytime measuring a possibility at football field lengths. You wouldn't even attempt to use an LDM in outdoor full sun conditions.
  5. Thought I would bump this post now that the TOOL CONNECT information is slowly revealing itself with many tools. (As I predicted.) [emoji6]
  6. That does look like iron pipe. It looks like ABS. I've had great success with Ascorbic Acid granules and baking soda with some water near boiling, for my drain issues. This also works really well to clear clogs. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Plumb-Away-6-oz-Aerosol-Drain-Opener-Refill-10008/202275221
  7. I have two DeWalt socket sets. One (200+ piece) stays in the garage and the other (~170 piece) stays in the truck. As far as pliers and wrenches, I have my go to DeWalt ones and a few other off brand ones I've acquired over the years.
  8. I wanted to see if anyone would mention the price. For some reason, Home Depot has them listed at $249 right now. Every single site has them from $500-$900. I already ordered one from HD just because of the price variable. I looked at comparable units from other brands such as Bosch, and $500+ is pretty normal for a device with similar features, Distance (660') and a built in camera. My DeWalt (330') was $299 originally.
  9. It's not listed on DeWalt.com yet. I can only find a short YouTube video that was filmed over seas. But this thing looks pretty sweet. http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/dewalt-dw03201
  10. I see a joist hanger (positive placement) in there along with some others that have been much anticipated. There is also a cordless flooring Nailer that's about to be released.
  11. Bosch has a new app that was released in March. It's called MeasureOn. I have been using the other Bosch apps, such as Floor Plan, for several years and this one is by far the best. Go check it out. I just downloaded it today and started playing with it by doing a test plan of my home so I can't explain all the features. But just a few minutes of toying around, and I am already making this my primary, go to, app.
  12. I've been running it in small amounts for the past week around my house. It definitely takes some getting used to. The anti drip feature that retracts isn't perfect. I'm running very small beads of caulk along base boards and quarter round and I have to let off the trigger about 12-18" from my stopping point as it still wants to run out. Probably because I cut a pinhole in the tip of the caulk tube. Probably an 1/8" bead. On larger beads, it's perfect. It's a little heavy and can wear on you but for intermittent use, it's not bad. I also used it to fill the expansion joints in my driveway with self level sealant. Exponentially better than an old squeeze gun. Again, definitely requires different technique. If you try to use it like a traditional caulk gun, you will fail miserably. I recommend getting some cheap tubes of various sealants and do some test runs to see how it handles. Thin, thick. Anything and just mess around. Run tiny beads, medium size and large.
  13. Got it today. And the parts all fit. In summary, the least expensive way to go is to buy the 20v 28oz gun and then buy the 10oz conversion for the 18v gun from DeWalt ServiceNet.
  14. https://servicenet.dewalt.com/Parts/Detail/326310
  15. UPDATE: The part numbers are the same for the 18v version but if you order them for the 18v version, the conversion kit costs $26 instead of $68. I just ordered it so we will see how it goes. Shipping is ridiculous. Almost an additional 50% but 26 instead of $68 is a win!
  16. The Flexvolt blades are a thin kerf though to preserve battery life. Less material being removed, less work from the motor, longer battery life.
  17. I have one. I like it. It's not particularly easy to setup and adjust but once you get it figured out, it works as intended.
  18. Very nice! I'm glad to know there is potential for 110v adapters and wireless remote activation for vacuums.
  19. TrackR devices use the same technology. It doesn't require direct pairing for the app to recognize there are other devices in the area.
  20. They're awesome little drivers. I have three. One in my electrical bag, one in my tool chest and one in my Kreg box. I use the one with my Kreg screws A LOT. The clutch allows you to use it as a manual screwdriver on those screws that need just another 1/8-1/4 turn in hard woods.
  21. I answered every aspect of his question. [emoji16] I probably could have wrote a 5 paragraph synopsis of how, why and whatever else. Lol.
