  1. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that we are going to see quite a few new 12v automotive products from DeWalt in the near future. Dewalt12volt.com is a new site that is coming and if we peek at the partner companies, there is Stanley12volt.com and blackanddecker12volt.com. Both sites have quite a few products in their respective lines and with the new DeWalt Jump boxes and battery chargers that we already know are hitting the shelves, I can foresee other products coming as well similar to what Stanley and Black & Decker already have.
  2. I have three of them. My favorite area light. Hinge is a bit loose but it's not a huge issue.
  3. Or a trim compressor. They just put one in a systainer so a Tough System is feasible.
  4. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they won't do a 7-1/4. Will they do a 6-1/2? Possibly. The 20v line is still expanding so a circular Saw is most likely in the works.
  5. I was looking to add one to my Christmas list as my 500amp one just isn't cutting it. I saw someone in Canada posted these so I decided to wait. Thankfully, I found this in the top stock today. It seems to be very well built. The way I am looking at it currently is that Baccus Global has been making the Stanley and B&D units for quite sometime so the quality must be there and the feedback must be positive. Stanley B&D is the parent company for DeWalt so if there were issues, they wouldn't let Baccus put the DeWalt name in the product. It also has the highest amps and watt ratings of any unit I can find. So it boils work on my diesel.
  6. It's interesting how these are made by Baccus Global which makes the currently stocked CAT, Stanley and B&D automotive chargers and jump boxes. Seems like a conflict within Home Depot.
  7. So I'm going on 3 hours and it's still topping off the charge.
  8. Which one did you see? I'm curious if they're doing the same thing as around here. Only certain stores are getting certain models while other stores are getting other models.
  9. Here's the smaller jump box.
  10. Manual says 40 hours to fully charge via 110v charging method.
  11. It was about 75% charged so I can't say for sure. You plug an extension cord into the back. It also has a cigarette light option to charge from the vehicle once you jump started it. This thing is super heavy duty. I can see this being a very useful piece of equipment.
  12. Initial impressions are that this thing is very well built. I'm doing the initial charge on it now. The compressor has a digital setting. You choose the PSI, start it and it fills until the PSI reaches the setting and shuts off. Very nice feature. Has USB chargers, lights on the back, detachable leads. The leads are short. VERY short. So the jump box needs to sit on top of the battery basically. But, I imagine an option to buy longer leads since they are detachable quick connect. It also has a watt meter for the 110v outlets to tell you how many watts draw you have.
  13. I'm going to get the bench charger tomorrow. It's not at a store near me.
  14. They're still inactive in the system. So you have to hunt them down in top stock.
  15. Yes. They're in HD. at least they are in Houston.
  16. Yeah. All those products are showing up in Home Depot now. They're spread out among stores. Some stores have the smaller 1400amp units and some have the two battery bench charger. The wheeled charger is $299 This jump box is $249 The smaller jump box is $149 And the bench charger is $99
  17. Very nice snag. Even if the quality isn't great, I'm sure it will be useful at some point.
  18. Our local DeWalt service center does the same thing with batteries. They do ask for your phone number to pull your file in the computer so they can keep track, but they don't even test the batteries or anything. I had three 12v batteries go out. They were the smaller 1.3 or 1.5ah and they gave me the new 2.0ah batteries.
  19. Yup... a friend of mine is a Texas DPS officer and we talk about similar stuff frequently. He says when they change the SOP and put out memos about things that should not be done, the question that often arises is "what dumba$$ actually did that to facilitate the need to make it a rule to not do it?"
  20. Let's talk about your experiences with warranty and service from various manufacturers. My first and favorite experience is with Milwaukee. I had a multimeter that had the screen go out after 6-9 months, filed the correct paperwork online, mailed it in, postage paid by Milwaukee. Instructions stated to remove all accessories and batteries so you're just mailing in the bare tool. I mailed it in, within 48 hours I had shipping notification that I had a package coming back to me from Milwaukee Tool. Received the package and it was an entirely new multimeter in sealed factory packaging. Another set of leads and fresh batteries. I was very impressed.
  21. But just think how much more you'd use it if it was cordless! [emoji6]
  22. I see your point. I do like to think that people who can not decide for themselves what is safe and what is not, usually deserve the consequences. I often say that we should remove all warning labels and safety warnings and let natural selection play out for a while. [emoji6]
  23. Well, i don't see a major issue with it. You can be responsible and consume a low amount of alcohol. For example, I'm a major firearms enthusiast and carry a firearm 24/7. I can still enjoy an alcoholic beverage occasionally while carrying. Does this make me irresponsible? No. I know where my limits are and what makes me impaired. 1-2 drinks in an hour have no effect on my motor skills or reaction times. If done in moderation and with respect to the individual, I don't see an issue with it.
