  1. Did you have any experience with the first version? It sounds like you are leaning towards recommending the product?
  2. Awesome. That's a game changer for the Dewalt Track Saw. I don't always need the benefits of a splinter guard.
  3. She didn't say much. She was hesitant as if she was choosing her words VERY CAREFULLY. She emphasized how you have to pre-scan the wall first and that there are so many unknowns as to how that wall could have been assembled. Now, she did tell me that the cost increase is due to new parts. So, maybe upgraded sensory parts?
  4. Talked to a Dewalt rep at Lowes today. Asked if she had the opportunity to try the scanner and if she thought it was any better. Let's just say I'm not all warm and fuzzy. Disappointed to say the least.
  5. Bosch is a major manufacturer of High Pressure Fuel Pumps in light duty diesel trucks. Huge problems as their spec'd out higher than common ULSD diesel that is available at the pumps causing premature pump failure and catastrophic engine failure.
  6. Most likely. Someone probably needed a belt in a hurry and their fastest option was to buy a new planer, take the belt and return it.
  7. If it wasn't for a returned item, I probably wouldn't have one. $200, open item. Main drive belt was missing. Was never operated. Not a spec of saw dust in the whole unit.
  8. I grab them by the handfuls from the post office. They're in the new mover/change of address packets. Or when they are out, I buy them in ebay in quantities of 8-12 for $0.10-$1.00 each.
  9. I engrave initials and register ALL my tools along with serial numbers on DeWalt's site.
  10. I have not seen any great prices on it. Your best best may be Lowes with a 10% off coupon.
  11. I bought the Swanson two piece Straight edge from Lowes yesterday, item #119887 and Nance 2-5" anti skid rug tape, item #92623. The tape fits PERFECTLY on the bottom edge of the straight edge. Makes a perfect non skid straight edge for just about anything. We used it to cut roll flooring. For $30, it's a pretty handy little tool.
  12. Look at the Spyder ones at lowes. Easy quick change capability.
  13. I saw these at Lowes yesterday. Never really looked as they always had their special little wire rack display and felt they were gimmicky. The ones I saw are made by Spyder. They have variations of blades with symetrical tooth setup and course and fine tooth setups. I'm going to keep an eye on them though. They're hole saw system is fairly nice.
  14. I think I saw your pics on another post. I'm considering doing that. I just need to get some things organized first.
  15. Yeah, the knife is nice. I misplaced mine. Going searching for it tomorrow. Probably buried in my truck.
  16. Seems like they have a fairly decent 12V lineup to me. http://www.dewalt.com/12vmax
  17. That's pretty neat. I'll have to look into that.
  18. Dan just mentioned their's is being delivered "tomorrow" on his FNTF video which was filmed Monday. So I'm hoping we know a little bit sooner rather than later as to how well it works.
  19. I'm pretty fluent with AutoCAD.
  20. It's a corded tool. Hadn't seen one like it before. I'm guessing it has the dust ejection as part of the perform & protect line.
