  1. I've read on other forums that some people feel that Klein's quality has gone downhill recently, especially when it comes to screwdrivers. The last Klein #2 Phillips screwdriver I used seemed to take a lot of damage after camming out of one screw, so I've been disappointed in their quality as well. Well, a while ago Klein announced they were coming out with a new steel alloy for their square and Phillips screwdrivers: http://www.kleintools.com/content/our-secret-sauce-new-improved-screwdriver-steel Recently I've seen drivers at Home Depot where the hang tag says Strongest tip yet. Has anyone used any of the new ones? Do they hold up better than the old ones? I might buy a Phillips and use it this week to see if I like it better than the last one I had.
  2. I really like the Honor Harrington series by David Weber. I recently read a couple of books by Peter F. Hamilton, Fallen Dragon and Great North Road that I really enjoyed. I also like Douglas Adams, Spider Robinson, Robert A. Heinlein, F. Paul Wilson and a bunch of others. I'm also into Fantasy so, George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones, Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and other stuff like that. But my favorite author is Terry Pratchett. His Discworld series is really, really good. They are parody/satire's of traditional fantasy novels/tropes from Conan to Lord of the Rings and everything in between. There are 30+ books in the series and they're all really funny, but there's also a lot of depth to them. It's just a really good, laugh out loud funny series that kinda makes you think a little bit, too. I'll stop there because I could probably go on all night. I live in Casco, down in southern Maine.
  3. I went back to the Depot today because I had a 50% off one item under $50 coupon from True-Value and HD accepts competitor coupons. So I ended up getting the blower for $24.50.
  4. Nope, didn't lose power. My brother and sister live almost across the road from each other 4 or 5 miles away and they both lost power.
  5. I got the Milwaukee M18 blower for $49 at Home Depot.
  6. The first tool I ever bought myself was a black, plastic Stanley torpedo level. I don't have it anymore. I think I lost it on a job site or it fell out of the back of my brother's truck when I worked with him. The first power tool I ever bought was a Ryobi 14.4v cordless drill. I don't have that anymore either.
  7. I have a wrench that is similar to those called the POP Pro Wrench. My mother got it for me for Christmas a few years ago. I keep in my tool bag and use it on the rare occasions that I need an adjustable wrench.
  8. Hi, everyone. I'm an electrician from Maine and as you can probably guess, I like tools. Most of my power tools are a mix of Milwaukee M28, M18 and M12 although I do have a DeWalt gyroscopic screwdriver that I like a lot. Other than tools I like to read science fiction. Well, I guess that's it, nice to be here and I'll see you around the forum.
