Track saw makes no difference. You set the cut and don't need to see it. Blade right full size are cordless transition from most corded sidewinders. Blade left rear handle for people coming from worm drives. No real reason to introduce complexity like rear handle blade right in my eyes.

If recent history re: yellow tools and the Surge are anything to go off of, just check Home Depot's site periodically and they'll give you the details earlier than anyone else lol.

The word is yes, Q4 of this year for a yellow version of Makita's rear handle from my understanding.

Literally laughed out loud at hacksaw ? almost everything in the list is on point though.

Lol one of our 4 887s at work fell 12 feet and landed the wrong way I guess; the base of the handle where it meets the battery holder snapped and is now held on by wire and tape.

Generally management is intelligent enough to send their guys specific files and not the entire set of prints.
I've worked plenty of commercial, worked through plenty of change orders, and never thought "damn, life sure would be easier if I was on wifi now instead of 3G / LTE". Go Dewalt though, chase that One Key money.

Unless you want decent lights. Then you're still stuck, but you'll have enough battery power to power your mediocre lights for days.

Lol @JimboS1ice, that must be it.

A cell phone with email in combination with a morning meeting accomplishes all those things.

Lmao! A "TTI guy". Hoover with a dust deputy and you've practically got a Festool on your hands ?

I instantly want that SDS lol. What a thing of beauty.

The internet of things. JHC. So now our power tools can contribute to DDOS attacks on websites etc? ?

I've never seen a riving knife on anything but a track saw or table saw. Not even sure our beam saw at work has one.

Hammer drills are crap in old tough concrete. Don't like to use them in tough stuff, plus the vibration and high pitch whine are brutal. A 6 amp Bulldog bores out 1/2" x 3" holes in seconds. The M12 will do the same with 1/4" holes for tapcons. My 2704 and 996 are among the best when it comes to hammering and I still click over into that setting as little as possible. 3 screws? I'm not walking for another tool. 30+? I'm walking.

The M12 Fuel was basically made for tapcons, so yeah it will kick the M18 hammer drill's ass imo.

Nice picks @DPSElias, the 996, 575 and 414 are all awesome. The recip is the only original FlexVolt release I don't own and won't own. If Dewalt is your only platform then it's a no brainer; it's a powerful saw. It just lacks refinement that you'll find elsewhere, whereas any lack of refinement in any other FlexVolt unit comparatively makes up for it by being way more powerful than the competition. Most of the FlexVolt line is both comfortable and refined, while having class-leading power. Why the recip lacks I'll never know. "Market research" by SBD that says we won't pay more for nice things.

Binding/kickback. The track is what provides laser straight cuts.

I use it almost exclusively cordless, even when power is an option. More power. Awesome saw and one of my favorite tools.

But won't always have more power or efficiency, so horses for courses I guess.

@Tug isn't rpm just a matter of gearing? Brushless motors spin pretty damn fast but the motor in a brushless drill still spins faster than it's max speed or 2k rpm or so. Brushless is more than capable of delicate work.

Took them 3-4 years of sadness to finally get a good surprise so...I'm not holding my breath but I'll be happy if they do.

And pliers wrench is handy for everything

Agreed re: Atlas @jkeating3, they have an amazing selection, they just don't have amazing prices. Good people and good service though.

Exactly @Biggie, and having an SDS now I don't see myself ever buying a hammer drill/driver again. Might as well save the bit of cash and put it towards the next purchase.
Which Dewalt brushless reciprocating saw

Full size will be more versatile and powerful. The compact is something to fill the gaps in you collection for convenience factor down the road.
