Fuel Starlock OMT would be nice.

Off the top of my head hard torque is the maximum instantaneous torque put on something when you hit the trigger, and soft torque is the sustained torque the machine is able to put on a fastener. Hard torque seems like a paper spec for big numbers while soft torque seems like what's most important for getting work done. I could be wrong though.

The most amazing 2.5 speed impact in the market, you're going to be impressed by how fast it drives fasteners.

All the T_ kits do me no good because I just sell the paperweights they come with. 9.0 or bust lol.

Agreed with @Conductor562, my shop is about 33% of my basement so space is at a premium. My 790 on rolling stand can collapse and stand up against the wall. Very handy.

I use a 2.0 on the screwgun and cutout tool, maybe compact impact. Even those I'm fine with a 5.0 instead. I was excited to get compact packs at one point but the thrill is long gone haha.

Hang on to your mitts, that thing has torque for days, might snap your meat hooks right off lol.

I fully believe M18x2 is coming, but I don't think a mitre will debut with it. I expect a super Sawzall though.

Your craftsman box ought to be green Jimbo! That's how envious that drawer of black/yellow/red tools makes me!

Festool has a zero-clearance consumable insert so your off-cuts are splinter-free as well. The FlexVolt and new Makita don't.

I like multibit but I will never go back to not having individual drivers as well. Well, unless my future involves living in a tiny house. I'll forever have both though. Multibit for truck, garage, junk drawer, etc. and full set for in the workshop.

Yep, now the mystery is how soon does it come to Canada and should I wait for it or go green for a track saw with a splinter guard.

This year's SBD event is Stanley focused rather than Dewalt from what I've heard.

I have it, love it, but if I did framing consistently I'd buy the latest Paslode for sure.

Agreed with @Grumpy MSG, crown in my area is basically nonexistent. My 790 will cut 2x12 etc. far more than monster crown, and for most trim a 7.25 is perfect. Plus; the blade has less deflection.

The last exciting NPS had the 2707, 2731, etc. 2709 and 9.0 was alright. Last year was just mediocre and the FlexVolt event made it look even worse.

2 years ago wasn't that hot either.

New product symposium. Annual Milwaukee event in June.

The 12" is 40% more blade surface area (off the top of my head), which means a 10" has less deflection, takes less energy to turn, and are cheaper blades. So I do see the need. It's a glaring hole in their lineup. 78.5 sq inch surface area vs 113.

Even just staying up to date with latest and greatest takes some deal hunting and savvy reselling lol. Takes effort to keep the wheel turning!

Yeah good point @HiltiWpg, different use cases for everyone means a different colour might work best for different people. Horses for courses and all that.

Common theme around here!!!
My god. So true. I think you guys have cost me at least 5 grand in the last year alone.
Edit; Did some quick math. It's about $6500 on power tools alone. Hand tools and accessories over another grand. Made up a fair amount of ground on that by selling things that got replaced, or buying kits on sale and selling chargers and batteries but still; you guys are expensive acquaintances and when it comes to power tools I guess I have champagne taste lol.

Nice! Can't wait for a 10" fixed head to compliment my 12" slider!

Sounds just like Milwaukee. The 2704 is already so compact you could fry an egg on it because it has so much power but more power and more compact sounds like exactly what Milwaukee would do. NPS17 has me pretty pumped lol.
