  1. That Irwin video is interesting but I would still go with a hammer drill over an impact. For one project or two I suppose it wouldn't be the end of the world, but on any regular basis you're better off with a tool better-suited to the task I would think.

I remember seeing someone use a metal bit with a regular corded drill to drill through a poured wall, it took them forever but they did it

  2. LOL I did that one time. I thought they were going to run me out of the store. Come to find out I think they were having a management walk through that day.

Haha, They probably talked about you after the walk through

Congrats on the purchase C Harris, good choices!

Justin, patience is a virtue haha. The waiting makes the big day that much more enjoyable.

Its hard to be patient when you want to finish work early and go home

  3. I stopped by Home Depot today and ended up leaving with a cart of Milwaukee tools. LOL! They are addictive. The fuel impact was a display. Some one had the brushed impact in the fuel case and the fuel impact in the M12 bag. It amazes me how little most of the people at HD know about the tools they sell. I got the manager to try to straighten it out and he tried to convince me the brushed impact was indeed the fuel. I ended up having to buy both to complete the fuel impact driver. It was an acceptable price so I went ahead and got them. I guess I can use the m12 battery and case for some of my other tools. Maybe I can find someone to buy the brushed impact. I'm looking forward to trying out the multi-tool. I'm hoping I like it close to as good as my corded Bosch.

The only time I ask for help from an HD employee is when I need the ladder to get something from the top shelve. If they take to long I find a ladder and do it my self and then they say "Hey you can't do that" I smile and keep pushing the ladder..lol

  4. I always liked Wirsbo pex and the Milwaukee expansion tool I always wanted to try it out but we don't install pex here. It's only the horrible cpvc pipe or copper pipe. I think when pex first came out it was installed in new homes here and I heard it was recalled after the houses were built. But I never seen a house done in pex here so that could be why its not used today.

  5. There never seems to be set times for these periscopes, Dan just turns on the camera when he is ready, and if we are not ready, then we miss out. :(

A lot of the periscopes happen when I'm at work so I miss a lot of them

  6. I also don't like having more than 4-6" of picket above the top rail to keep the pickets from "rabbit earing" where they warp in opposite directions.

Okay I understand, yea our top rail has to be 6" below the top of the pickets. We don't have any fancy wood fences here its just pickets and post and your gate looks really nice too.

  7. OK somethings wrong here, the live feed was only a short time ago and the recap video is unavailable as if Dan deleted it. So looks like I won't be seeing that video afterall dang it. At least I won't miss tonights cnc video, I told Dan I would be there. And I love it when it keeps on shooting after so we can hang out and chat and stuff

Yea its unavailable for me too :/ Is there a set time for tonight's video??

  8. It looks really good but is there any reason why the screws are so high up? Here code is 2 foot spacing on 2x4 and fence post 4x4 spaced every 4 feet buried in two feet of concrete. I live in a hurricane zone so when I see how fences are built in other places I'm confused..lol

  9. Lmao once you go dewalt you move on to bigger and better tools like makita and millwaukee hahahah

I don't know about all that.lol  I don't see to much people using Milwaukee around here
