  1. Does anyone know if the 2712 fits in the same case as the 2717?
  2. Thanks. They had this one marked down to $70. I couldn't pass it up.I'm mounting it in my table now. I like the collets much better already. They seem a lot stronger and you have a separate collet for 1/4" bits. That's my biggest complaint with the ridgid. It has an adapter sleeve for 1/4" bits.
  3. Does anyone know what these parts are? My guess is some kind of parts for a router table. They were in the case with the router. The plate is missing off of the fixed base so I'm guessing it was in a table.
  4. I decided to shop by a pawn shop in town and see what tools they had. I walked in and there was a nice Bosch router and priced cheap. Should work great in my Bosch router table. I have a little hitachi in it now. How does everyone like their Bosch routers?
  5. Maybe a back pack power pack. Put the backpack on and plug into your 20v tools for all day run time.
  6. My estwing does a great job for framing. It's cordless too. LOL I have 2 framing nailers and 4 finish nailers but I still just grab my hammer and a handful of nails for small framing jobs. Finish work is a different story though. I'll take the time to drag the compressor around.
  7. Thanks for the info.I have the ego blower now. My house sits on two lots. I have several huge white oak, hickory, sweetgum trees. The ego does a good job for smaller stuff but just doesn't seem to have enough power/runtime to blow the leaves. It does great for blowing the driveway off. I was hoping the DeWalt would be better, but I would probably be better off upgrading my gas blower to a backpack version and keeping the ego for smaller touch up jobs.
  8. Eric, Are you talking about the 3 in 1 Milwaukee or the regular jacket? I think both come in camo.
  9. Let us know what you think of them. I'm a lot less inclined to buy the trimmer now. Just picked up a nice stihl fs80r for $100 this afternoon. It's one of the last 2 strokes stihl made without emissions.
  10. I have the Milwaukee hoodie. I like it but it fits loose and doesn't overly warm. It's an xl and I could wear a large. They are sized normally I just lost about 70lbs in the last 7 months. I would like to have the 3 in 1 jacket. That way I could wear the heated vest under any of my regular jackets.
  11. I have been very happy with this circular saw. It's not much more than the ridgid. http://t.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-15-Amp-7-1-4-in-Lightweight-Circular-Saw-DWE575/203273038/ Edit http://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DWE575-4-Inch-Lightweight-Circular/dp/B007QUZ106/ref=sr_1_cc_2?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1433994589&sr=1-2-catcorr&keywords=Dwe575 After the $20 off $100 it's the same price.
  12. I was thinking maybe a 10" miter saw or a portable table saw.
  13. I was looking at these DeWalt nailers at Home Depot. They look very close to their Bostitch cousins. The 15ga even has the same blower and jam latch release. The handle vent and smart point is just like the bostitch nailers. I wander how much was changed besides the name.
  14. I'm really curious how this will compare to the ego w/ 2ah battery.
  15. I wander if DeWalt will build any construction tools to utilize the 40v battery platform. I have an ego blower now. I have been eyeing the DeWalt 20v and 40v blowers and trimmers.
  16. It's hard to say without seeing the work, But it sounds like you are mainly missing a saw. If you are only cutting a few 2x's you could use a handsaw. A circular saw would be very versatile for cutting your framing, plywood, etc If you have a lot of demolition a reciprocating saw is great to have. All of the work could probably be done with hand tools. Power tools just speed up the job. Do you plan on having the power tools for other projects in the future?
  17. Thanks for the tip. I posted some pictures to enter the contest.
  18. I checked this afternoon. That saw is 99 at my HD.
  19. Was it one of these. I do have some Scottish ancestors. Lol.
  20. I took a couple pictures for the Milwaukee 6SECONDSAWZALLCONTEST today. Both are awesome tools.
  21. Thanks. I bought a 2654 off of eBay Friday and it should be delivered tomorrow. I think I will go ahead and pick up one of these adapters and give it a try.
  22. I enjoyed your comparison videos on the circular saws. I bought one of the compact DCS 387 saws. When I unboxed it and tested it I couldn't believe how much vibration it had. I would be concerned it would shake the switches and battery apart. I returned it and bought the Milwaukee fuel. Dewalt needs to update their recip saws. If anyone is looking for the makita 18vX2 saw. Home Depot has them on clearance for $58.03. I was able to get four at that price.
  23. I have the fuel Hackzall and Sawzall. If you have intensive demo work I would recommend getting a Sawzall. The hackzall is great for when you need to hold something with one hand and saw with the other hand. If you don't need a cordless tool the 6519 is a great Sawzall and on sale for $99 right now.
  24. +1 for the Fuel Sawzall. Its an awesome tool.
  25. Great point. It would be way to subjective.
