  1. I've been looking for something to get me into the Milwaukee battery platform but can't decide what voltage to get. I'm thinking about one of their multi tools.

Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

I have both multi tools. I like the 2626 m18 better. You don't need a wrench to change a blade and It has more power.

  2. I'm in power tool new product development.  I've lurked here for a long time.  Just made an account to answer a question.

Great forum y'all have here.  I'm a tool nerd myself, so it's fun to read the commentary from a bunch of fellow tool nuts.

Welcome to TIA. Thank you for answering my question.

Can you build us a Fuel multi tool? LOL!

  3. I always only got m18 tools thinking m12 wouldn't have enough ass but after my first m12 Impact kit I've been looking to expand my m12 more than my m18..I love the compact leisure the m12 provides!!!

Yeah I started with 18 as well, "I need real tools, not toys". Turns out the "toys" kick some serious ass. My M12 is almost on par with my M18 collection now.

Same here I was amazed when I discovered how capable the M12 Fuel tools are.

Anyone that calls them toys hasn't used one.

  4. I stopped by my local Milwaukee dealer and he has a deal for $100 off a fuel kit. It sounded like have to trade in ANY m18 tool with ANY two batteries for the discount. I may be buying the m18 fuel hammer drill and impact for $250. I'm not sure if this deal is all over the U.S. though.

    Congrats! That's a great deal.

  5. Thanks for all the input guys, MUCH appreciated. I was leaning more towards the 2720 but I figured I would reach out and get some other input from everyone. Just to be clear there's a pretty substantial difference in the power between the two if I am understanding what I am reading? I was looking for direct comparissons but couldn't seem to find any...

I have a ton of Dewalt 20V stuff and thought about just buying the bare 20V recip saw but everything I can find points to Milwaukee making a much better saw. I figured it wouldn't hurt to get in to their 18V platform as they have some awesome tools that Dewalt doesn't offer unfortunately.

The sawzall was the biggest reason I switched to Milwaukee. I bought the dcs387 compact model from DeWalt. It vibrated so bad I immediately returned it. I bought the 2720 and haven't looked back. I had the big 15a corded sawzall I ended up selling it because I like the 2720 so good.

  6. WOW Justin, sounds like you are describing love at first site ;)

LOL! It was kind of like that. It took me about 30 sec from seeing it to it going in my cart.

I had one of them a while back. I always watch the fuel tools on eBay. A bare tool popped up with a cheap buy it now. I bought it and kept it a little while. I ended up selling it to buy a 3/8" impact.

I regretted doing that and I figured I would get a new one later. I was super pumped to find this one. I bought this one new with full warranty and it's nice having the case.
