  1. Well boys.. a few weeks ago I picked up a bike. 2015 Ducati Monster 821.. it was the first bike I went to look at and it was love at first sight.. bought it that night and never regretted it.. exactly the bike I wanted, color, style, everything!

Ridden about 900 miles already and having a blast

Only mods so far have been a fender eliminator and removing all the factory warning stickers from the frame and such.. have some adjustible shorty levers on their way and the next mod will probably be suspension.. new springs front and rear and maybe new valves for the front.

Second pic also shows it with the passenger seat cover removed

Great choice!! That is my kind of bike.

That is very very similar bike to the KTM 950 Supermoto I was talking about liking so well.

It's funny I stopped and looked at an older Monster yesterday.

Are going to put some bar end mirrors on it?

I know wet clutches are a lot better but I miss the classic Ducati clutch noise on the newer models.

  2. Great comparison there. I thought the brushed model was way smaller compared to the fuel. It actually was on my shoplist for compact drill. I will go with bosch then for compacts and use my dcd790 when I do need full 1/2" chuck capacity

    Thank you C Harris!

I'm glad you found it useful. I was looking at them and was surprised myself because I had heard how much smaller the brushed drill was.

  3. Thanks to Shuutr, I was able to efficiently use the HD terminal. I keep seeing these deals thinking, "this will never happen to me.." But tonight I got lucky!

Saw the 2653-22ct impact driver compact battery kit clearances for $58.03 on the computer. It said they had 3 on hand. Found (with an employee's help) two in the rafters and he said the third must have been a display.

Bought both of them. $229.00 regular on HD and 239 on Amazon.

No signage. Would have never found them without the computer. Thanks Shuutr!

I have been to nine HD looking for one. There are none to be had around here. I found one where someone had swapped out a brushed impact in the place of the fuel and stole one of the batteries. I bought it anyway. Then at another store where someone had put the display impact in a m12 bag. I bought it too. Now after spending $120 I have a partial kit with a scratched up impact. I'm still happy to have it for that but I would have loved to of found one complete in the box.

You got really lucky if you found two nice ones in one store.

  4. My Dad is an electronic technician, grew up watching him soldering regularly. One thing he always points out to me about a nice iron is when it comes with a stand and variable power control. Due to this I kind of like the Weller WLC100, which fits my needs more as a DIY and someone that doesn't solder constantly. It's just nice to adjust the amount of power you need and have somewhere to set the iron without having to worry about burning a table or what not. The other thing I like is how there is a place built in for the sponge cleaning pad.

I have that one and it does pretty good.

I would like to have one like the NaluRush posted.

  5. !!!WOW!!!

I gotta say, I've seen RC flying before but not like that. That is some nice flying skills you got right there! I don't have any doubt that you won, cause I seriously doubt other's could perform that well after you lol. Nice song to go along with the video as well. Thanks for sharing dude!

Wow, those are some serious RC skills!

Thanks. I scored second overall. For this competition we had fly to music of our choice and had one required maneuver. I did the triangle with a snap roll on the up and down line at the beginning of the video. There are a lot of guys better than me. Some of them practice every day and treat it like a job. They can smooth up a lot of the little corrections and bumps in my flying. Working full time I never could commit that much time to it. I would just try to go out on the weekends and have fun.

  6. Great post C-Haris!

I strongly believe that more power is better, even if its got too much power for a small task, you can easily work around that. But when you need the power, you really need it, and nothing sucks more, then a drill that lacks power. I love my 2604, and I will love it even more if I can get the chuck to stay on lol.

Like Bremon I think I would go ahead and send that drill in for warranty.

  7. Your my kind of nerd C-Haris, love planes. I used to fly them on the flight sim. :)

It's a lot of fun. I used to be into it a lot more than I am now.

This is a video from back in 2010. This was a tri state shoot out between Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Three of us were chosen to compete for Texas. We won 1st place. I just haven't had the time to commit to it since I moved to NC.

Thanks. I'm a big fan of Fuel and other brushless tools.

I've heard comments several times about someone choosing the M12 brushed drill because it was smaller. I thought it might be helpful to see them side by side.

  9. I just can't believe it took as long as it did for tool manufactures to take advantage of the technology. I've had brushless airplane and helicopter motors for 12 or 13 years now.

The brushless motor in this dwarfs any cordless tool I have yet to see. It will turn a prop as big as a 50cc gasoline motor. It takes some work to get one of these right. You have to measure amp draw, build cooling baffles, and measure temperatures. The tool companies have already done all of this for us. All we have to do is charge the battery and go work.

The technology is proven. I'm willing to take the risk, but I guess I'm a bit of a nerd.

  10. I have the non-Fuel M12 Hackzall. I like it, but it ain't fast! Mostly used it for limbing holly trees at my sister's house, but it's done a bit of work cutting various tabs off of my Jeep.

I'm kinda undecided about what I want to pick up in the future. I'm kinda digging the M18 Fuel Sawzall, but then I kinda also want a couple of the corded models... The 15amp Super looks like nothing would slow it down, and the 13 amp looks like it wouldn't wear ME down as fast, LOL. And somebody posted about their new Bosch recip saw a couple of months ago, maybe a model 427? 428? 429? I remember it being the same as a coveted Ford big block engine, LOL.

I had the 15amp version before the Fuel. It is one heavy tool.

  11. Just ordered the 2720-21 with a free 4.0 xc battery! It should be here early next week. Man, I can't wait to pop a blade in that sucker and start the destruction!!!

Congrats! You are going to love it. It's by far the best Sawzall I've ever had my hands on..

  12. Well, I still think it was the right decision to let Berlok buy it from you, even if he didn't. Cause it wasn't a tool I needed per say, more of a tool that I wanted lol. So congrats to whoever bought the 2656. When your ready to sell your sawzall let me know, I might be more eager to buy that. ;)

LOL! Not planning on selling the sawzall anytime soon. I decided to sell some of my duplicates so I could purchase different tools. I ended up with 4 multi tools and 3 impacts drivers. I put two multi tools in the classifieds.

  13. I recently picked up a new M18 multi tool. I don't think I really need 4 multi tools. I would be interested in trading for a Bosch or DeWalt Palm router, Milwaukee 2454 3/8" impact, Milwaukee 2530 M12 fuel Cir Saw, 3/8" impact sockets, Milwaukee LED light, etc. I might be interested in other tools. Let me know what you have.

    Tool #1. - Sold

    Bosch MX30E

Works great and in very good condition. Comes with new Carbide Bosch metal cutting blade, Rockwell wood blade, and Rockwell sanding pad.

Tool #2. I decided to keep it for now.

    Milwaukee 2426 M12

Very low use. I have mainly used this for scraping. Comes with blade, adapter, wrench, manuals, sanding pad, bag, charger, and 1.5AH battery. The battery is brand new and has never been out of the bag.

Shipping covered in the U.S. I'm located in Lexington, NC.

PayPal accepted for goods. (I'm not interested in getting banned from PayPal by doing the gift thing.)
