  1. Totally playing on the "tits" usage @Bremon and the similarity between "best" and breasts. Haha! I'm surprised it took so long to notice too @kdv. No auto-correct here. Whoops? How un-pc of me... hahaha!
  2. You definitely can't beat free It looks to be an awesome set, for sure! I'm still beside myself. The light integration in the drill chuck looks awesome. The 7-1/4 in. saw looks pretty nice too. The three speed on the impact is crucial too, not to mention 2000 in/lbs of torque. All in all, a really sexy set. So, talked to the wife and decided that I'll weight the Pros and Cons of keeping the set though it is completely redundant with my new Fuel tools (minus the reciprocating saw). If it doesn't make sense to keep, other than to have a free kit and a 'back-up set,' I'll either give it away as a gift to a friend or family member, or sell it for much less than retail to pass a kind of gift on to another person (maybe like 299 or something) and offset my original M18 Fuel purchases. It's feels strange to say that its a pity this didn't happen a few months ago before I bought into the M18 line. Still, I'll take it as a blessing and a sign to keep on keepin' on.
  3. Thanks guys. Yeah I'm pretty stoked. It was an online giveaway on homefixated. I just registered while keeping up with their Milwaukee New Tool Symposium coverage. Just a chance thing. Pretty awesome. Only thing I've ever won. All of the tools are redundant (except the recip), so I'm not exactly sure what to do with it. Ideas? I have had my eye on the Fuel Sawzall. Hmmm....
  4. I just won a 5 Piece Ridgid Gen-5 cordless tool kit. This: http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-GEN5X-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Combo-Kit-5-Piece-R9652/205883898 Now, I don't know what to think. I am beside myself with glee for the win, yet with my wife beside me, I can't help but wonder how I will convince her that I need more M18 Fuel tools.
  5. Also, my bad for not posting this in the Hand Tools section.
  6. Ok, we are all gluttons for the Fuel line without question. Even those who don't own the platform agree Fuel is the breasts. Hand tools: I've a few Milwaukee hand tools however, I'm not wedded to them (yet) despite the temptation. Yes, I've strayed from Red often when the option was there. Price prudence has often gotten the better of me. (I think, hmmm... save $4-5 here and there, more for a Fuel tool later. Again, hand tools: beyond the lifetime warranty on these suckers, what are y'all's thoughts? The new offerings are sweet to be sure, but what about personal experience? If not Red, why? If yes Red, why?
  7. Honestly, haven't messed with the Fuel yet, but the 2621 is a nice tool, great improvement over the previous version--especially if you've got the 4.0's or greater. I think I'm going Fuel on this one. May pull the trigger in the next week or so. Late father's day...
  8. Thanks guys. You've backed me off of the Makita. Now I have to decide which to get, the grinder or the sawzall. As for the wife and tools: for the most part she doesn't touch mine. She's got her own at work: bone saws and the like... muwaahahaha... but seriously, lucky for me, she treats them with respect because she deals with tools all the time.
  9. Man, that Red Fuel is sooo tempting... But so is a free battery and charger with a brushless tool. Blast Milwaukee for not having more promos. Anyone out there find any benefits to two battery platforms?
  10. Ok guys, I have a dilemma. I have a few (ok, more than a few) tools that I need at the moment. I'm gonna go cordless on 'em. At the top of the list are a new grinder and a new sawzall. I tend to bleed Red when it comes to tools, but, as you guys may already know, there is a brushless Makita grinder kit on sale at The HD. The single battery kit is a steal, and while I don't have any other tools on the Makita platform, they have some cordless woodworking tools (among others) I wouldn't mind having. Now, as I said, I tend to bleed Red, thus I have a few batteries on the platform. I had hoped I could finagle a price match on the regular M18 Grinder for $30, as I saw another get it at the HD a few days ago. But to no avail. So, the either the Fuel Sawzall or Fuel (Paddle Switch) Grinder (both bare tools) are very tempting, yet the deal is not as sweet as the Makita kit. I find this to be a serious conundrum. Thoughts??? Aside: I'm not going to wait for the new M18 Fuel Grinder with safety stop.)
  11. I just got the 25' mag tape. So far, loving it. Got the fastback II, had problems with the blade mechanism, they sent me another one in less than a week! Now I got two!
  12. I'll second that! I have such a hard time not buying Red and Fuel everything. But sometimes I can't justify... well, heck, I'll just get the Red. That Red, that Fuel logo, that extra rubberization, and that warranty will play tricks on one's ability to rationalize.
  13. Heck Yeah! I wish it would happen to me too. Heck, even someone I know. I guess going to HD every other day isn't enough.
  14. For $99, its a great saw (bare tool). If it isn't your daily bread were talking about here, you will love it. I really dig mine.
  15. Where are these HD's with the M18 grinder deal?
  16. For sure, this Ryobi's taken a beating. I'll try to post an ugly picture of it tomorrow. Either way, the fuel design is ridiculous. By extending the stroke length and reducing the rpms, they made it perform as though they increased the rpms by 500. Awesome way to conserve power. Sweet thing.
  17. I'm in the market to upgrade from an 'old' ni-cad ryobi I inherited. I'm coveting the fuel sawzall. Beyond general work, I'll use it for pruning as well. A great excuse to use it. Gotta say, Milwaukee was genius extending the stroke length and dropping the rpms. Really can't wait to get my hands on one.

    Milwaukee NPS

Yeah. I agree. A lot for a month for sure; how about a lot for a day! I'd never stream something like that to a phone. I was wondering why the stream didn't support PC. I would have watched some then. Perhaps a streaming service that provides broader support would work better?

Periscope wouldn't stream the day for me. It offered Android and iOS streaming, and that was it. I just kept saying "connecting..." 5GB is a lot of data!

    M18 Circ saw

@Comp56 - The 6 1/2 Fuel saw is amazing. I like the brushed version, but the fuel is amazing. Wish I would have had the spare cash lying around to get it. Nice saw.

    M18 Circ saw

Yes sir. Its a great saw. The shoe details are accurate and functional. For 99$, a steal.

    M18 Circ saw

It would be foolish of them to not. If it's about value proposition for them, and it should be, the 9.0s will be for those heavily invested in the tool line, as well as to just steal others from the blue, yellow, and green teams. It would be absurd to make obselete the first Gen fuel line which still represents one of the best tool lines on the market. Imagine how many orders they would get from companies with volume investments. Not to mention Gen 2 upgrades as well. But this is a great question. Maybe Dan and Eric have some insight.

    M18 Circ saw

Thanks! Compared to the 7 1/4 Skil Worm Drive, this thing is like a toy--but in a good way. It's not as much work to deal with, especially without the cord. And, yes, its pretty quiet. And it gets the job done with no hassles or hold ups. It's so light you can easily use it with one hand. Given, I've not abused it, but I rarely 'abuse' my tools. Still it seems to be worthwhile purchase for the value. I'd read a mountain of reviews on the thing trying to satisfy a question of whether or not to get it or the Fuel. A question one can easily ask a tool junky and expect a, "Get the Fuel!" response. (Who doesn't want the Fuel. But need. I mean, with the skil backup, I think I've got my bases covered.) After reading that many owners of this brushed version were "leaving their corded saws in the trunk," I just bit the 99$ bullet. Save the extra $100 or so for another tool up the road. Or maybe I'll put it towards a beastly 9.0 battery!

    M18 Circ saw

New Saw! I've been using it for complete bathroom and walk-in closet renovation. Its my first 6-1/2 in. saw. So, I still need to purchase some blades, though the stock one works well enough for now.
  25. Following this post's title, assuming C Harris nailed it, I'm gonna say what Milwaukee should be put up against, because the DCD 995 isn't really even in this drill's league. The first thing I'd like to see is the M18 Fuel Hammer Drill 2704 (w/ 1200 in/lbs) against the Makita XPH07Z ( w/ 1090 in/lbs)! I, presumptively, assume everyone is thinking this. Then, I'd like to see 10 various reviews putting the drill through it's paces to see what it can do. Aside, with 1200 in/lbs, perhaps we're getting into some sort of safety feature being a necessity? If the Bosch ARC is proprietary, will the handle be a ridiculous length like the Makita?
