  1. I had a Campbell Hausfeld 6 gallon pancake compressor for awhile. I actually like it a little more than my Porter Cable 6 gallon pancake. It ran more quiet though it took a little longer to refill. But it always started up and worked fine, even had it running a roofing nailer for a church project. I can't say too much about any of their guns but they seem to be a decent value brand. I'm curious to see how your new nailer will perform.
  2. I'm with you on that, setting up a circ saw with a rip guide takes too much time and sometimes doesn't turn out. Having a sliding miter saw is the way to go, it makes those crosscuts so much easier and repetitive cuts can be done with ease. Unfortunately I don't have mine anymore but when I get some cash i'm definitely looking to either a Ryobi 10 in slide, Kobalt 10 in slide, or a Chicago Electric 12 in slide.
  3. Wow, looks spendy but of course everything is spendy when you're broke...
  4. Let's see if my boy Peyton Manning can work some old magic and give Denver another run for the Superbowl. Also excited to see how my fantasy league will turn out.
  5. I had their 10 inch slider a couple years ago before trading up to a Kobalt 10 inch slider. The rails were smooth and it worked perfectly, just needed a little tweak to get it to cut true. The motor seemed strong and I wouldn't think that it would burn up easy. I've never used the one you've mentioned but if it's anything like the other saw it should hold up fine. Just get the extended warranty if you're worried. It's a pretty good deal considering that you can't find other sliding 12 inch saws anywhere close to the price.
  6. Thanks guys! My little girl's doing fine, and the tools have helped out with a good chunk.
  7. She's made a pretty good recovery, it's just that the bills didn't all come at once, it's like they saved the biggest chunk for last so I wasn't really expecting it.
  8. I'm reading it again and it definitely sounds that way. It is tough but I know that it's the fastest way to get cash and like others have said, the tools can be replaced.
  9. Thanks Hatter. I hate to say it but I'm probably going to return my Milwaukee 2630 circ saw too. It still within the 90 days.
  10. Not too long ago the doctor bills came in for my younger daughter's fractured elbow. All I can say is that it was more than what we had in reserve so some tools had to go. My Kobalt 10 inch slider has helped me on a number of projects and was the first one to help us out with the bills. I'm gonna miss this one...
  11. Yeah I heard the mag 77 worm drive is quite the beast! How's the house coming along now?
  12. That Festool would be awesome. I'll probably give dadoes a try sometime, or biscuits too.
  13. Great job! Loving the rustic look.
  14. Nice looking shelf. Small or big project, it's always nice to be able to create.
  15. Well that looks like an exciting project. I can't wait to see how it turns out! Beautiful wood by the way.
  16. Welcome to the Forum, nice setup you got there.
  17. I think you made the right choice!
  18. One of the water holes I used to always fish at is the same way now. The fish use to be in good shape but in recent years the water quality has just gone down and the fish have a weird smell to them now.
  19. Nice catch! It's a big fish but like you said, he's still a little guy. I've only been carp fishing once and that was at the Snake River. I remember hooking on to a pretty good size carp, they are pretty strong!
