I purchased a set of Wera screwdrivers a few weeks back from kctoolco. I also purchased a set of insulated Wihas but that is another thread.
My initial impressions of the Weras were that they are very well made. They are made in the Czech republic and designed in Germany.
The handles are unique and take some getting use to, yet not uncomfortable. The black is a hard plastic with the green being a softer material. They do however allow a good grip on the screwdriver. I have used the phillips #2 quite a bit and impressed with the fit of the bit. The Weras boast about their tips being laser etched. This intrigued me and after seeing a review on YouTube of you being able to pull items by just the gripping strength of the driver. While I have not pulled a tool box I have been able to get it to hold near horizontal in many different screws around the house.
Mine also have a hex bolster to allow for added torque with a wrench.
Overall I am very impressed and highly recommend them. They are more expensive than craftsman, kobalt, husky, but cheaper than snap on. Enough rambling, here are the pics. Note the multiple areas with the description of the tool and the product number for easy replacement.
Some German alternatives are Felo, Whitte (HD offers some versions and makers of the Matco brand screwdrivers), and Wiha all within the same price range.

Picked up a few things the past week or so.
From Menard's I got a Bosch 15ga nailer. $80 on clearance with rebate made it $50.
From Home depot I got a diablo blade for my Bosch cordless drill and a husky pneumatic angle grinder. (Rebate week at Menard's so HD price match on those).
From amazon I got a Snappy made in USA countersink bit set. Pretty good week.

Ya. Workshop addict did a review on YouTube. If you want to stay with kreg I'd opt for the k5 as it has a few upgrades over the k4. Nothing wrong with the kreg as my k4 has done what I need it to do.Are you talking about this one rrich?

Check out the Porter cable pocket hole jig. Looks to be much better than the kreg. I have a k4 and like the look of the pc a lot.I'm hoping to get the k4 in the near future Jimbo so I will definitely have to pick one of these up also. Thanks!

The toughbuilts are not the same in those pics. The more expensive one has adjustable legs and the cheaper one doesn't. The Masterforce are copies but the the areas where the 2x4s go fold up in the Masterforce ones. Something to keep in mind for space savings.

Depends on how you want to store them? Vertical? Horizontal? I am looking at the ernst trays or the westlings.

I bought the Masterforce 18g but I haven't used it yet. Impressed with the features on it. I like the jam release better on the Masterforce and it has a light. The Bosch also didn't come with any nails or hose fitting. I couldnt justify the price difference with this being on clearance us extra off for their clearance sale. I bought a swivel fitting to ease the hose. I love Bosch products with my cordless being Bosch along with a few other things. I am sure I will be just as happy with it as my other tools. I purchased it to replace all the door, floor trim, crown in my house.I saw it at menards I was thinking about it, I've heard a lot of good about Bosch nailers.

ThanksNo I have not ran into any trouble with it yet. It is a little but the for the price and what you get you cant beat it. I have it set up in my router table most of the time. It allows you with the kreg insert plate to adjust everything from the top. You do have go unlatch it so move up and down but you can change the bits from above without pulling out the router.

Didn't get these today but my screwdrivers finally came in from kctoolco and very impressed with the weras so far. I also picked up a few things from HD last week. Spring clamps, clamps, and husky t handle hex.

I was contemplating that kit. Either that one or the Bosch colt with plunge base. Do you feel the size will keep you from getting into certain spots?I bought a new Master force router combo. And built a router to go with it. Really like this router

I paid $15 for mine earlier this year at my depot. They were clearances out. Rang up a penny but I didn't know about the penny deals at the time and paid last price for it. For $15 I bought the last two.The price for the stand is really good.

Thanks for the analysis, that helps a lot. I'm tempted to pick up a set of the strike cap felo's to see how they are. The wera's I ordered have the hex shank with the nut for wrench to put on but are not the chisel drivers. How do you compare the wittes? They were my on my list as well but were more expensive.
-
The Felos are softer than the Weras and it almost feels like a gel under the rubber outer, it's not squishy but you can feel it if you really dig your fingers into it. The Weras grip screws better but the Felo grips your hand better...they're both gripper than any other screwdriver I have. The Felo is a little slimmer than the Wera.
Here's a comparison picture, all are 4" PH2s. I have a Klein but it's at the shop, this is all I have at home.
thanks for the pic I appreciate it. My order frm kc hasnt shipped yet...looks like ill be doing some looking tonight.

They do have the laser cut tips(and the screwdriver holder), it's hard to see with the small picture. I think I like the Felo screwdriver more but the Weras are very nice, especially the tips. The Wera's handle isn't nearly as large as it looks in pictures, which was a pleasant surprise.
BTW, if you have interest in the Felo deal it's on the GJ forum(You do not need to be a member, communication is done via email). The entire catalog is available for the discount but it will take a couple weeks for delivery. Here's a link to the thread: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=309158
im a member and saw the thread. thank you. do the felo's grip like the wera's? I know I have seen where wera's will grip upside down or straight out and stay that way. I have smaller hands and they did look pretty big in the pics. I was torn between the two and decided on the weras for the laser tips. I couldn't find much video on the felo's.
the felo set 61391 looks really nice for the money.

Also received my order from German Hand Tools November/December 50% off Felo sale. Think I'm going to have to make another order, these tools are extremely high quality.
Some 4" bits:
Magnetic T Handle, it's soo strong it magnetizes bits up to 2.5":
1/4" hex mini ratchet:
One of the nicest screwdrivers I have, very comfy handle:
Also ordered this, same seller but different sale:
nice! I bought some wera's from kctool and some insulated wiha's as well. waiting for them to arrive. Do those wera's not have the laser cut tips? do you like the wera's or felos better?
good deal!. I wonder why my car said they went up?

Received one of my $8 Knipex "electronics pliers" today(1/4" hex bit for size):
Top notch quality, as expected!
I had that in my cart and forgot about them, then i look and they went up. ugh.
