  1. I'm sure this Bosch is a nice jig saw but 260 bucks is a huge difference between it and the Ridgid. Some times unless your using the tool every day to make money you have to make a decision on how much you can spend.

HD has a Bosch barrel grip for $140. Out of stock online but sure other places might have it.

  2. I got a cheap Chinese pressure washer from the PowerHorse brand. Its got a 6.5HP engine on it and has an axial drive pump attached to it, delivering up to 3,000 PSI of pressure, and has a detergent pickup option. So far I've put probably 50-hours on it and its helled up well so far. It can be had for under 400 dollars. I've been hearing good things about that Ryobi washer people have been recommending lately, although I don't think its 3,000 PSI and anything under that you will be taking all day to pressure wash a driveway.

Basically, what you are asking for is maybe a 2 to 2.5 gallon per minute washer, I am recommending to you a 3 gallon per minute washer, as that will provide plenty of water to cut through the grime and wash away. I used to have an electric pressure washer too that did no more then maybe 1500 PSI and maybe 1.5 gallon per minute if that, it was the worst washer I had ever purchased, a complete waste of money. Sucker couldn't pressure wash concrete right, totally lacked power, and sucker was always getting air in the lines, so your standing there for nearly 10 minutes to get the air out.

The best kind of pump to have on a pressure washer is a triplex pump, but that is only found on commercial washers that you pay 1000 dollars for or more. Cat pumps are good as well, but you aren't going to find them on washers less then 500 dollars. Axial drive is what he should go with cause its more cost effective. So I wish you good luck on your pressure washer purchase, please post back when you have yours and post pics on the forum if you can, so we can see what you got. :)

Thanks for the lengthy response. I will look into your suggestions.

  3. one of the construction companies i work for has the ryobi gas pressure washer, i have used it a ton and i think its one of the best power washers on the market the idle down feature is awesome, i would recommend that power washer.

I looked at that one as well. It looks just like my neighbors black max. Thanks for the info and your experience.

  4. The am in the market for a new power washer. My electronic one finally gave out and looking to upgrade to gas. The pulsar 2700 psi unit looks decent and it is at Menard's where I have an $80 credit. Being a Ford guy I'd love to get the Ford one from Lowes.

What do you have and are you pleased with it? I am looking in the $300 range.

  5. Thanks for all the replies. I think I will wait a bit longer as I don't NEED a specific tool right now. I'm hoping Bosch will come out with some more stuff this year just to make it harder in my decision. Lol

  6. Thanks for the reply guys. Looking online an 18v bare tool hammer drill from Bosch isn't much more expensive than a 12v. The multi tool would be for light work. At the moment I cannot think of why I would need the heavier duty one but that will go out the window once I would buy a 12v lol.

  7. Question about the hammer drill? Are they worth it? I'm not drilling all the time into concrete but with a basement it might be necessary.

  8. Are you happy with the 12v lineup? I am interested in the multi tool, ratchet, and optical scope right now. I have a line of 18v Bosch tools and looking to add tools not available in the 18v line or significantly smaller like the multi tool. This is used to for home use (which seems to be more often now a days). As much as I would like to keep my theme of Bosch with their 12v lineup they seem to not be pumping out new tools.

  9. the smaller overall feel is why i love my m12 tools. i don't even use the XC battery just because at that point is really does start to feel like a smaller 18v, although it is nice the the drills can stand with those batteries. i absolutely love my m12 line. i have a number of different m18's as well, but i only use them for bigger jobs (i'm just a diy guy).

i have the 2426 multitool. the various speed settings are nice, but i will say that it doesnt really feel all that powerful. could be that some of my attachments have worn down. i often feel like i can't control it too well, either. i've never tried the bosch lineup so i cant give you a comparison. if the tool you really want is the multitool, based on my experience with the tool, i would definitely try to get my hands on the bosch and feel it out because this could be the one m12 tool that i'm not completely gaga over. the rest of the lineup? LOVE IT. especially the drill/driver, impact, and jigsaw.

Thanks for the response. I'd try a different blade company to see if that helps. What brand are you using now?

I was at HD today and they still have the deal where you purchase 2 bare m12 tools and get a free battery and charger which is kinda nice. I love my lboxx's though and Bosch has a good deal for 2 12v batteries with a charger and lboxx for 70. That's the same price as two batteries from Milwaukee

  10. Less bulky handle is nice but I am not considering them because I want the overall feel of the tool to be smaller. With the slide battery its almost as if I have a compact 18v in my hand. And I might as well use the 18v at that point.

  11. I am currently looking to get a few 12v tools. My cordless right now are all Bosch. Obviously the 12v line will use different batteries but I like to be consistent. Does Bosch have any new 12v tools planned like Milwaukee does for theirs? Like an air ratchet, optical scopes, or ? My main thing I am wanting is a multi tool right now for small diy jobs.
