  1. Looks beautiful Mr Yellow! I almost pulled the trigger on it but chose a miter stand instead. It just looks so good in there, too bad it won't stay that pretty forever!! Oh and how does the sound quality compare to the previous 20V model, does it get appreciatively louder than the previous model?

  2. I rather have the newer model with those 5.0ah batteries than a third battery which isn't even a 4.0 but a 3.0. My vote would be on the Gen 2 mainly because of those 5.0 batteries and that extra torque. It's better to be overkill rather than not have enough juice as you found out with the M12 you have .

  3. I'm 1/2 tempted to sell two of the batteries on bay. After buying the Fein drill and Supercut I will have 6 Fein batteries in total. I really doubt I will ever need all 6 batteries in one sitting. If I do that the SuperCut would be next to free.

Yeah Fein batteries are hard to find and from what I hear they are well over $200 for the 4.0 18 volts. Anyways I got my supercut, though now I'm wishing they would have screwed my order up as well !! Oh well it's still an amazing deal and a fein tool!

  4. Yeah that 15 amp 12" is a true beast but if you are doing smaller jobs its overkill and that is where the 7 1/4" comes in real handy! Though I love the rolling stand it is weird having a 30- lb saw on a 70 lb stand. no worries of it tipping in the vert position at least.

  5. I got the m18 mitre saw I bought it a while back its been in the uk for ages and it's one pf my best buys

whats the crosscut with the M18 Miter saw. I'm assuming its 8 1/2" sliding saw.

  6. Very nice William!! I love that stand I just wish they would of made it to where u can take the miter saw on and off as u please like the DWX723 now that would be very nice!!

Yeah the fact that you have to bolt it is a pain and quick connects would be nice but not sure if I would trust them while moving it vertically. I really have no idea how secure they are. Oh and Lowes has a deal where you buy the top dog 12 " saw and you get the heavy duty stand free. If I didn't need the flexibility of the 20V saw and rolling stand I'd go that route but I love this saw and it works for what I need it for. Though a free $199 dollar stand is a sweet deal.

  7. Sweet. I'm glad it works out well for you. Personally, I think the 20V miter saw would work great on the compact miter stand. DWX724. Or just the heavy duty work stand (DWX725) if you have aux roller stands for material support. Allows for quick connect/disconnect and maintains the light weight & portability the 20v saw was intended for.

Yes it was between the compact and the rolling stand but I just will use it mostly around the house and with limited room and  the fact that you can store it vertically was the deciding factor.

  8. I wouldn't even consider buying a SAW STOP because the owner/developer is an ass. He patented the technology then began lobbying to make it mandatory that all saws incorporate his technology. All about licensing. He wanted to make a fortune without putting in the time and effort. Rely on congress to do his work for him.

HAHA that's how I feel too, the guy is a patent lawyer as well so theres that too ;)

  9. the Bosch retracts the blade only and doesn't jam it so the blade is saved. I mean its not a big deal if it saves your finger but if its falsely set I wouldn't be too happy over losing a $200 blade and a new cartridge. Oh and the Bosch cartridge can be used two times instead of the one on the saw stop. Though the Bosch is $100 or $200 more which is surprising in that they are such a large corporation that you would expect them to try and beat saw stops price. Anyone know if the lawsuits are still on going or does Bosch have the ok to sell in the US?

  10. The ASCM is actually the only drill that Fein actually produces in Germany, the ASB,ABS and impacts are all brushed and built in China by TTI I think. From what I understand is that Festool shared info on drills which lead to the ASCM and Fein in favor helped with the Vecturo OMT.

  11. I called my local Lowes and the guy was rude and didn't seem all that interested in helping me out. He's probably telling all of his buddies to buy them out lol. No but Lowes really does have some of the worst service I have ever seen. Never around when you need someone to help you out. At this point I think they see me coming and hide. Oh well acmetools will get my local business because the service is top notch.

  12. I have the Dewalt so not sure why I bought it, I think part of the reason is that I get sick of the trigger and it only locks at full speed. The dial should be a nice change up for long projects such as removing grout in my bathroom.Yeah I saw that they were 2.4ah batteries as well, do the newer kits offer 4.0 batteries, maybe thats the reason for the price difference?

  13. Toolnut is back with another amazing Fein deal, this time its the Fein AFSC 18 supercut for $299. I really need to stay away from that site since I've bought the ASCM, the Dewalt DCS361M1 and now this!! Time for more OT at work lol!
