yeah I got mine for $179 with the 5.0 at Lowes, I haven't seen anyplace that sells the bare tool around me.

The Milwaukee one key will be mine protool!

haha thanks guys, I can't wait until friday. I have a bookcase to build from scratch and this will make things a bit easier. the jig drill bit in my 995,the pre drill bits in the Milwaukee 2404 and the impact for the screws. I love/hate my new tool addiction. anyone else feel the same?
-
I just bought an m12 fuel hammer drill, it should be here Friday.I Can't wait even though I already have two drills lol.

ok thanks Jason, I recall them saying August for the drill and sept for the impact. They must have just pushed the drill back so they can offer the sets right away. Either that or they are waiting so they can implement one key right away just so people have that option at release.thanks for the replies and don't worry Ricky I still love my Dewalt lol!

very nice, enjoy your new tools. You'll love them, especially coming over from B&D!! Oh and the impact is my new favorite tool, so much power and they don't fatigue your wrist .

dont get me wrong, i love dewalt but what can you do with that tiny thing? blow dust off the desk?
its mainly for blowing away concrete dust and wood shavings, maybe clean the bench off. Milwaukee has one out already so they aren't the only ones.
-
yeah they do have a date stamp on dewalt.
-
can't you register it now? you have to register it to get the warranty? Did you check on that?

That's what pretty much everyone in the usa experiences is their grinders not much else. Metabo just can't seem to get any traction here even compared to Festool.
yeah at my local acme tools they have a festool setup with the drills, kapex, carvex, sanders etc etc and the only thing they carry from metabo are their grinders. Kinda sad since I wanted to try out the hammer drill with the torque multiplier attachment.

I just read an old review of the model from 2010 and it just seems flimsy and cheap. the circ/table saw couldn't even cut 2x and when it was a table saw the blade would wobble back and forth so accuracy would be crap. Don't get me wrong the concept is great but I just don't think that it was implemented very well at the time. Maybe they made some massive improvements but the kit looked like garbage, oh and it was $330 back then.
-
yeah so they could fine you $10k for forgetting safety glasses.

Oh so the drills are a month behind than, I recall the drills were august and the impact is sept. That's fine though because if I am going to buy one I'm going for both in a kit.The $250 sale on the current hammer drill and impact is hard to resist.

Nope, I told them a lot of people rent this thing how do we know that there wasn't any stress cracks and it just so happen to brake on me.
I was young 15-16 years old maybe, with no brains in my head..lol The worst part was smashing the wall with a sledge hammer and than load it in the trailer
haha 15 and cutting concrete, I don't think anyone would have trusted me with a concrete saw at that age, i'd be missing a limb.yeah there are times when we can't get the pneumatic jack hammer in the area where we have to break up concrete or we just don't want to bother going to get the air compressor. So we use a sledge hammer and it can get a bit hairy when you are swinging a 15 lb sledge 2 inches away from a gas meter lol. I really hate gas replacements , everyone pours concrete around the gas risers smh.
-
haha yeah it would make a great belated christmas present to myself. Thanks Bremon, I'm a bit disappointed but just bought a new m12 fuel hammer drill to keep my insatiable hunger for new tools quenched for a while. My Dewalts need a mate lol.

Years ago I cut an opening in a solid poured concrete wall with a 14 inch gas powered one. I didn't use ear protection and I couldn't hear anything for like 2 days and I couldn't pick my arms up because they were so sore holding that heavy saw for a few hours..lol
How did you last so long without hearing protection, that high pitched sound just kills my ears. I can't last more than a minute without it.Of all the equipment/tools we operate that is definitely the loudest, and that high pitched sound just destroy my hearing, ugh I hate cutting concrete

2016? well that's good, this way I can save my money for a few more months.
-
the radio has a model number but I can't find the number for the mini blower.
-
thanks Jason, I wonder if the first batch will be one key compatible.
-
I where red wings and Danners. Both are comfortable and last well for me.

Everyone I know who has Danner have had nothing but a great experience, but my 2 pairs have been lemons. One pair came apart at the seams after a month and the other pair just wore down much faster than a pair of $200 pair of boots should. They are really comfortable though.

I see the new m18 hammer drill available online at acme and home depot but I cannot find any in stores. My question is , is the new hammer drill out , if not does anyone have the release date. Acme has the old fuel hammer drill and impact on sale so the new ones must be close. Also does the impact driver come out along with it or do we have to wait until Sept to buy the kit? thanks.

You only got 3 year on XR products, so not on the saw..
I always thought all Dewalt products had a 3 year warranty. So my 380,391,581,etc etc only have a one year warranty? The box says 3 year warranty,1 year free service and 90 day guarantee. As for batteries only the 4 and 5ah have 3 years warranty I believe but all tools have 3 from what I understand.

well it never hurts to have an extra tstak, do the inserts come out? You could always sell the insert and keep the tstak. Just an option.

I love my Red Wings, they are so comfy when you stand for hours at a time. The only problem with the pair I have is that they have those softer soles (which makes them comfortable) and they get chewed up when I use a shovel. THey are now 5 years old and are starting to wear through in spots but definitely were worth the $200 I paid for them. My 600 gram thinsulate winter Red Wings are too new to say how they will hold up but they are more comfortable than pac boots not too mention i'm less clumsy when wearing them, which is important when walking near a trencher and its icy.
