  2. I've contacted a few retailers here and none of them have any idea when the 8.0ah battery packs will be out even though it says they are available on metabo website. I wonder why metabo is now the one playing catch up in terms of amp hours, although, having said that, I have original 4ah metabo batteries at least 6 years old and I could swear they out perform some other 5ah platforms I own, even though they are extremely well used!
Where are you located? I have the Metabo 8.0ah batteries. They are available in the US from Ohio Power Tool and Toolbarn.

  3. I’ve had these guns for about 9 months now and while the framer is powerful and has been fault free the rafter hook is an absolute pain to hook onto tool belt, so I’ve gone back to the paslode for any roofing work. The 15 ga da bradder is junk in my opinion. It is only useful for putting 38mm brads into softwood. Any thing longer and it won’t sink them consistently as with use on anything harder. This gun has been back to the supplier twice for long periods but it still has the same issues. I don’t know if mine is faulty or it’s just a poor gun. I regret this purchase as the combo cost around $1300 au and I don’t use either gun often now.
Just switch the giant framer rafter hook with the 15ga rafter hook and your problem is fixed.

  4. From what I remember reading, the Mini/Midi have the same motor as the larger vacs but suction is down a little CFM due to the abrupt 90* fitting going into the vac

  5. Just to clarify. I am not a shill, just being silly. Companies send products for showcasing and review. I have zero obligations to say, hey, this is awesome. I critique everything equally.

  6. Direct from my Milwaukee contact...

We continuously monitor our production operations to ensure we are making tools that meet our standards for the highest quality. We recently identified a small subset of D-Handle Jig Saws that had an out-of-spec accuracy tolerance. Immediately after discovering this, we removed the products. Out of an abundance of caution, we reached out to distribution to return any product that could have possibly been affected so we could best ensure customers get the best product experience, as we intended. Again, this issue was localized to a small subset of product and we’ve returned to shipping normally.

  7. No adapter coming. Not worth the cost is my bet.

To be honest, most would not use it once you run it off batteries.

If you use a 9.0ah/3.0ah or the 12.0ah/4.0ah in the saw, it will easily rip 2x material. The same is true for the new Milwaukee.

If you will be ripping all day, then battery isn't for you. They definitely have their place and nearly all who have the FlexVolt table saw have nothing but praise for it (outside of the on/off switch).

  10. After I posted the arbor question it took me 10 minutes to find the answer to that one.

What does a quick Google search say 165 mm equals?

You tell us. You have the time to post the question, might as well use that time to just get the answer.
