He doesn't work with DeWalt. Just reposts things. There is no DeWalt event coming up or I would be going. There a bunch of releases coming up this summer.The.Handyman

Nope. I have nothing going on with DeWalt.

That would be my guess. I don't think it has much vibration at all. The power head is fantastic, motor constantly 'downshifting' when power is needed.I think the power head has the motor near the back instead of at the front. Might be why there is more vibration?

It could be that Festool makes its money off the tools and cuts people a break on the batteries versus the normal margin.
Other manufacturers tools are a lot less money and maybe they make up for some of the profit to be earned on the batteries.
Just thoughts.

That is a great question. I'm honestly not sure. I will reach out to my contact at EGO and see what they have to say.Is the power head string trimmer more powerful than the non power head 15 in model?

The EGO Power head has a 10" chainsaw attachment and it's pretty impressive.
I've never used a 130R so I've no more knowledge there.I’ve ran Ego stuff, the blower is the best. Saying electrics don’t have a tenth the power of a 130r is more a comment on the 130r, which I limb trees with (chisel tooth saw blade). An ego won’t let you trim a 10” branch.

It is a triple hammer sibling. Same base Mechanicals. Not sure if it uses the same motor or not. I'll be opening it up to compared to the triple Hammer I opened up.It's looks similar to the Hitachi. Same length (129mm), same shape (except the grip), and the same metal ring at the base of the chuck/bit holder.
The quality looks great in the photos.

It is made in China, just the same as the Hitachi triple hammer impact.Oh, where's it manufactured?
I have a whole slew of impacts for comparison. Most of the top dogs including the phenomenal and current favorite Makita TD171.

No, it's a full redesign with new large frame brushless motor. The 'new' 7-1/4" M18 unit is just the same 7-1/4" saw with a 12Ah battery yes?

In my hands now! I am impressed. And I love the selector wheel approach.

Not a single unit that has a 1/10th the power eh? I doubt you have tried the EGO models, especially the power head model. There are websites that track ethanol free stations, price and octane. I go to a marina, which is everywhere in Puget Sound but may not be for you. Is electric the right option for you? Sure. But gas will always win in effectiveness.
Ive tried plenty of electric trimmers, and there isn’t a single one that delivers a tenth the power of my Stihl 130R, and if you’re a homeowner, always buy the canned gas. Your mix machines run forever with no maintenance if you run premix.

I hear you on the extra batteries but what I'm getting at is for the price you can get a much much better mower with a better battery and charger. It would add one more charger to the wall but that's not a big deal in my mind when you have a much better product.if you have flexvolts and refuse to mix batterys like me it is a decent mower with the bigger batterys I hate mixing tools and batterys if you dont have flexvolts I think it would be such a stupid purchase for someone though have not noticed anything about the cable will have to go back out and look I have 4 9ah 2 6ah 4 5ah 9 4ah 5 2ah and 3 1.3ah batterys so its not an issue for me

So you feel it was worth the cost even though you had supply 2x 9.0ah and chargers to really get decent use from it?just got my mower other than the runtime I love it! I am not sure how they got 1/4 acre runtime off the 5.0s I got like 3 minutes of runtime on smaller grass bag was full 3 times then I switched to my 9.0s to get it done got alot more done with them
Not to mention the very small bag and propensity to pinch the handle cable.
All while the EGO kit is same price for a better built mower that lasts 3-4x as long on the included 5.0ah battery and recharges in 35 min on the included rapid charger.

The new Milwaukee Fuel 7 1/4" is quite large and heavy. It was smooth though.

Makita has specific saw blades made for the track saw. There is a non-ferrous blade for metal cutting available. Look through the blade offerings at tool nut or Home Depot website as well as the Makita website

Both are really good. I own both. In my opinion the Milwaukee is better. More power, faster blade speed, much brighter LED, lighter weight, and dual bevel. Dust collection is also really good

I found the build quality to be average. I was underwhelmed.
The EGO mower at the same $399 price point with 5.0ah 56v has a much better build and come with a fast charger to keep you mowing.

I saw them. Nice addition. Much needed.

Not likely coming.I’m hoping to see a 10” cordless miter saw this time. Been ready to pull the trigger on it for over a year...

I agree. Milwaukee is an excellent marketing machine. DeWalt is very old school, spends more advertising on Nascar and rodeos.Daaaaaang I love when they have a big blitz of cool stuff. They totally destroyed NPS the year they revealed FlexVolt. And got a pile of money out of me for it. I like to see the future projections of a system rather than bits and pieces and crossing my fingers. Makita baaaarely got money out of me and they had to wait 5 years longer for it than red and yellow did because I wasn’t hyped enough lol.

My sources have stated there will be no DeWalt event this year, just rolling releases through the year. They are done trying to show up on par with Milwaukee NPS.I hope you’re right lol. My impatience doesn’t want to wait the extra 60 days.
We will see if I get any information from my media contact.

I am always telling DeWalt what should be done but it's too late until the next generation.
