I guess this is what happens when you work an 82 hour week followed by an 86 hour week...  I went to take close up pics of the blade to send to the manufacturer and I realized it was a wood blade, not an aluminum cutting blade.  My apologies...

it happens dude, won't be the first or the last

Sometimes I think it would be nice to settle down then there are days like yesterday. I hung out with my friend, his wife and kid. We car pool to the mall so the guys could split off and let his son buy a Mother's day gift. We park, plenty of space on either side, his 7 year old decides to open the door as hard as he can into a Porsche, denting the door. Friend ends up buying more clothes for his wife and monther's day gifts from the child, including Starbucks coffee. We get back to the car and his wife spills the coffee all over herself, all over the car and inside her $600 purse...yeah, I'm good. He's still happy and loves his life but I'm soo good.

Just gotta find the right woman dude, not all go for 600 dollar purses I mean you gotta afford them German tools one way or another ha ha

I've heard stories of non-OEM batteries melting but haven't actually seen much evidence either way.

I think it's clear the quality isn't anywhere near as good but I would be interested in reading about someone who's used these knock-off batteries for an extended period of time and get their feedback.

The electronics inside are always questionable, its a gamble to whether they are up to Makita standards or not

  4. Triton has come up here and there, they do a lot of wood working tools, relatively small cordless line, their track saw intrigues me, reasonably priced tools. They sponsor that April chick on IG, thats a good deal and I'm sure they are all around solid tools

Impact X is supposed to slot into the hierarchy underneath Makita Gold apparently so I'm less enthused. I'm very happy with Gold and will likely try some Bosch bits next.

The case is pretty sweet, they seemed to pay attention to detail

To be honest, that's BS! You shouldn't warranty them because they're wear items! I wouldn't try to warranty one if it unless it was less than a day or 100 screws(which ever comes later). I love your customer service but that's above and beyond, I guess it does go to show the quality of bits you sell because Milwaukee and Dewalt would lose a ton of money if they offered that...I don't think I've ever complained about a warranty being too good before r0mGoOK.jpg

In my opinion, Felo is the most underappreciated tool company, their bits are fantastic. Supposedly PB Swiss was the best based on wear (from people on various forums) but Felo has proven (to me) to be better. Wera and Wiha are very comparable to PB Swiss, in my usage.

Agreed about felo, I have an upcoming video where I'll hit on that topic

  7. Just use Wera, Wiha, or Felo bits and forget about it. Shatter one (shoot a pic of it) and Ill gladly give you a new one.

Atta boy wiha and felo are my favorite
