would a true 36v battery have the potential for even higher demand tasks than an x2 setup?
Only by amp hour and cell type

Shit accessories is a broad brush swipe. They have some good stuff and garbage like everyone else. But yeah. I'll take Diablo over a FlexVolt for a saw or grinder. Those hole saws look decent too if you swap out the selffeed for a standard pilot bit. You can find a deal on them like any other brand though.
You got me there, max fit bits are good LOL

Nope, not at all from what I've read, hence the 15 mins of R&D haha. Should have spent 30 mins [emoji23]
That thing could be a great saw if they gave it a little love, the form factor always intrigued me as well as the 4 way blade position but not enough to over come the horror stories

The 15 minutes of R&D it takes to swap the brushed motor for a brushless? Same as their compact recip lol. Maybe it will be more assembled in USA stuff like their brushless compact recip too.
True...
Is that compact recip any smoother?

I got a clampable expandable straight edge from empire that works pretty good, just square it up clamp it down and cut her down

So I thought about you guys today when I was at farm and fleet, they have all the flex volt accessories, honestly?? That's shit is double the price of the regular dewalt stuff and it looks pretty much the same... 10 bucks for a flap disc that says flex volt? Lets get real for a minute what could possibly down to a flap disc to increase runtime on a extremely high demand and tool operation... thinner grit to make me buy another overnpriced disc? Thin kerf I get, you can boast longer run times than your competitor but put thin kerf on another color and you get the same results, why do you think Diablo boasts 30% more cuts than the competitor on their blade??
It's marketing bollocks guys to get us to buy the shit accesories dewalt puts out, maybe you get more run time fromna flex blade, but I'd rather take the longevity on a quality blade, you can't throw a blade on the charger and grow your teeth back... just my 4 cents [emoji854]

20v Max XR 7.25". There are rumblings of a 10" FlexVolt for North America but that's just rumours, nothing more substantiated like the XR 7.25". I would expect the 7.25" this year. The 10" is just a pipe dream at the moment I think.
Is a brushless version really needed? Could put that r and d to something more useful

May see one since theirs going to be a flex one

I am not sure if this is a good deal or not but just an FYI if anyone is looking. It's 200 instead of 300

I just saw this leaving Home Depot and it looks like a great deal... I could be wrong though.

There's have been out a while maybe a year? Different family though ha ha

Have you actually seen the 20v brushless grinder? If so do you know when it might be released?
Ive just seen images at trade shows, I'd imagine within 6 months is the usual time frame

Bless you Jimbo, lord knows our economy needs the help lol.
If the trump administration imposes a trade embargo on Milwaukee fat tapes I may need a hand ha ha
