It's a "flexilla" knock off that works the same way. Came with the reel at HD. 50 foot hose that works really well so far.

I have a 50 ft husky and a 25' flexzilla and honestly I can't tell much difference, performance in terms of kinking is about the same, they don't lol

It's a torquey drive motor but you don't want such a powerful driver that it damages the snake or the porcelain from kinking. This feels right and I don't foresee it being a problem.

I'll definitely be keeping an unbiased mindset when using/reviewing this

I hear that but by the looks of the picture you think they would have went with a stronger connection, not so much for the sake of torque but the motor is only connected to the shaft by what 1 1/2" of 1/4" steel?

It has the hands free connect between the motor drive and the snake, which is good!

You think they would have used a 7/16 instead of a 1/4

4. I gave up thinking I could park my truck in the garage a long time ago. Just won't work. So the truck lives outside.

Were in the process of looking for a new house, I don't see a two car garage I see where can I squeeze the wife's car in my new workshop

5. Wait. The.Handyman you're bricoleur? This TIA/IG overlap is even more thorough than I thought lol.

Hugh Jass I think it's a good system. Keep hoses etc in a small Tstak, and grab the box with the tool you plan to use and away you go. The joys of modular boxes.

Mind = blown didn't know that was you handy man that's nuts

Might just be me but I can see the purpose of an M18 Surge. It's on my to do list. An M12 surge at a premium price with the power of a brushed M12 impact? Woof.

i meant m18 brushed... but still for the cost and size not sure if it would be beneficial

7. I was looking at cheap cnc machines online. My parents won't let me get one because of the laser. Is there some kind of cutting/engraving machine that doesn't use a laser? Thanks

Water jets but ya got 50k and some big power outlets?

8. Lowe's and ToolBarn for me. Don't care for HD aside from Makita and Milwaukee (since they're the only local places that stock them) as their layouts tend to be all over the place. Lowe's has much better organization with isles for each cordless tool brand while they all seem cluttered together at HD.

I prefer HD for tools, SBD dominates lowes now with the recent buyouts, both places don't come close to lumber though with Menards

9. I wonder if they can make an M12 version of the surge or if the 12v platform doesn't produce sufficient power to run the oil impeller.

I'm sure they could tweak it down to a 12v tool, how cool could that be even at 30% less power than the 18v it would probably be equal in speed on regular screws than a conventional brushed impact

10. Mrs. Conductor calls me about noon and says "UPS dropped off your tool" meaning my bandsaw fence.

I was was excited all afternoon. Couldn't wait to get home and tinker. I ran in the door, straight to the garage, open the box, and it's a damn picture she forgot she ordered [emoji31]
