The leg design is why I went with the Keter. This is also made by Keter so their clamps should fit but I'd return it. I like Dewalt's new table. The Keter is nice but the legs don't lock as nicely as I'd like them to in the closed position.

I just watched a video on that keter one that's nice i like it, the dewalt one is nice too, the husky one is going back it  sucks and is a pain to set up and take apart

  2. I was at home Depot this morning and saw this portable table, so I picked it up, so far it's nice and all but the legs don't fold you have to pull them out and the clamp holders are supposed to fit any standard clamp I guess none of my clamps are "standard" think I will try it out for a couple days and maybe return it and get something elsed7e82635b32999bf8247fd7b938bb272.jpg

  3. Tools have been my toys for about 15 years now, started with the craftsman 19.2v set had a big ice chest looking case also had a bunch of corded stuff ended up having to sell my toys when the recession happened, got stuck working at home Depot for a couple years was to poor to really get back into tools but after my second year at home Depot I said screw it and spent my entire tax return on tools best choice ever every year since then my wages have increased, and I have built a name for my self heck last night I was cold called and offered $30 an hour to go manage a different hospital, just this year I have gotten $11 an hour in raises and my work load has decreased all thanks to my tool addiction

This five year old glove sits on my counter as a constant reminder to not forget... Trim saw bounced out of a cut, and without proper gloves, I might not have the use of that finger today. People who rag on you for using safety equipment are idiots. It is their right to not use gloves if they want, but the old saw about borrowed time applies.

I do not always use gloves for every bit of work I do, but handling chemicals without protection is a pet peeve of mine, and I will go out of my way to make sure that gloves are available for working with them in those instances. Outside of that, it depends on exactly what I am doing and the level of Murphy perceived.
I one upped you I cut my thumb off so I would have a constant reminder

  5. Bought the DeWalt 20v chain saw.  Thought I would give my impressions.

In my opinion, it is very comparable to an electric chain saw.  I have an electric Remington pole saw (used last year) and have run and electric Remington chain saw in the past (20 years ago).
We used a brand new, fully charged 6ah battery.  It did everything we asked.  Runs smooth.  Ergonomics are good.  Everything I expected.
The only negative - it spits bar oil like crazy.  Maybe not like crazy, but it throws out more oil than any gas powered saw I've ever used.  Currently I have a Sthil and a Husquvarna gas powered chain saw.

So, be aware of your surroundings.  We cut several pieces while we were standing on concrete.  It left at least a dozen quarter sized spots of oil on the concrete.  Also, anywhere you sit it down, will have a puddle of oil.  The foreman had left in in the back seat of the work truck, overnight.  Left a puddle of oil on the seat and running down past the back of the seat.

Besides throwing oil, it performed great.  The oil issue is an annoyance, but overall it performed great.  I will take an oil issue over having to have mixed gas and dealing with starting issues.
I have had mine for a couple months now, it's a nice little saw, I found using a heaver oil works wonders for the leaking I have been using gear oil and it has worked well without all the leaking

  6. Let's hope I don't regret not saving up for something more powerful like an Ego or flexvolt trimmer. I guess I'll find out soon if the online reviews are fake or not. $245 AUD.

  8. i need a segway mounted to it. I agree its way to heavy
Just tear apart a drill and use the motor to turn the wheels, you could have a variable speed 20v hand truck

  9. Starting to get cold up in New England and I’ll be working outside and on job sites well before heat is installed. Does anyone own one of the heated jackets and what are your thoughts? Considering one of these since I have more batteries than I need. Is the adapter and battery combo bulky in your pocket?

I have had mine for a couple years now, works great wish the hood and pockets were heated though, the back pocket works fine as long as it is a small battery anything over the small one needs to go in the front breast pocket

  10. Does this really surprise you?  Very common for small jobs. Just spray it with some water, wear a tyvek suit and mask, double bag it and throw it in the trash along with the suit and mask.  I'm not saying its right, just the way its done.  When I came across it on small home renovations of my own, it always seemed to disappear over night.
It sounds like we have been on the same job sites
