  1. Great video! I really like the way you guys structure the videos (split view/individual/stats summary). Thanks for all the hard work. Unfortunately my team (Metabo) didn't fair too well. But hey, it's brushed and can be bought for only $119 AUD! The others are twice that. Thanks again!
  2. Metabo has an all metal fan. Here's the TIA review:
  3. Looks like another new tool for Metabo! https://adelaidetools.com.au/metabo-18v-63-5mm-cordless-bandsaw-skin-mbs18ltx2-5sk.html (photo source: Adelaide Tools)
  4. Bosch has a cordless blower: http://www.bosch-pt.com.my/my/en/cordless-blower-gbl-18v-120-226567-06019f51l0.html No trigger switch however.
  5. I'll contact metabo this week and see what happens.
  6. That would be great. How do you find the belt clip? I find it works quite well, I thought it might sit on a steep angle but it actually sits quite level on your belt.
  7. A ute full of wood for a Saturday night camp fire thanks to this great little saw.
  8. It really does feel comfortable! It would be great in 10.8v (perhaps the best 10.8v/12v drill out there?).
  9. I just opened up the blower and it looks like the bump is caused by the rubber being thinner on the left. So I have 4 tools with handles and 2 out of 4 have this problem. Very disappointed. All of them have quite a wide seam across the whole tool too. Just google for any metabo tool and you'll see the wide seams/grooves (especially their new brushless drill).
  10. Is anyone getting a bump or step in the grips of their Metabo cordless tools where the seam/left and right sections come together and don't meet up precisely enough? Both the blower and impact wrench I have are doing this. The blower has a 1mm difference! It gets quite uncomfortable as you can always feel a seam/bump. Does anyone see this with other brands? The Bosch 12v tools I have are near perfect, very smooth and you can't notice the seams at all. The plastic sections also meet up very close all around the tool. Metabo almost always has a bit of a gap all around the tool seam, both on the plastic and over mould parts. I'm quite disappointed with Metabo on this, everything else about the tools are high quality. Other brands seem to have almost no gaps and smooth grips (in photos online anyway).
  11. I used to be addicted to flashlights. The candle power forum is a great place to visit (http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/forum.php). Tool addiction is more expensive but far more useful (you can do more with tools than flashlights!).
  12. The Bosch 12v batteries look smaller than M12's
  13. PS22! Now on the top of my list. Very nice (and finally a belt clip)! I wondered if the fuel M12 hackzall was bigger or not. The non-fuel is nearly identical to the Bosch 12v saw.
  14. I've been considering the ps22, great to hear your feedback on it. This is quite interesting (source: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=280737). The Metabo wrench seems quite compact. Anyone know which M12 is shown?
  15. That's quite good. That would be only $336 AUD!
  16. Wow, I'm surprised by the size difference. I own the Bosch. I was only on here the other day posting about the Bosch 10.8/12v line being much more compact than the M12 line. I might have to go back and correct that post! The LED approach used on the Bosch might explain why it's fatter (kinda like the Dewalt impact drivers too). I live in an area where there are few places you can see the top brands side by side, so I buy all my tools online and rely on posts/photos like these for insight. Does anyone have the fuel version to compare?
  17. I think we are very lucky in Australia at the moment as Metabo are lower priced than Milwaukee, Dewalt and Makita. The kit was $373 AUD which included a charger, carry case, 2 x 2ah batteries, drill, and impact wrench.
  18. Metabo! I purchased this kit only for the impact wrench and 2ah batteries (which don't seem to be available separately in Australia). I was planning to sell the drill but it's too good to let it go. I don't think I'll be using my Bosch 10.8v drill much any more.
  19. Metabo BS 18 Quick drill and SSW 18 LTX 200 impact wrench
  20. I have the vacuum too! Great to have and really compact. I give it a fair amount of use. I hope to get the universal shears next. I really could have used them instead of a Stanley knife when cutting blinds to size last weekend.
  21. I have a few of the Bosch range. Far more compact and lightweight than Milwaukee M12 which doesn't seem to be much smaller than M18 or 18V in general (e.g. the new Metabo 18V 400nm brushless impact wrench is the same size as an M12 impact wrench!). I don't really see the point of having large sized 12V and I really like Bosch's approach with keeping things compact. This is how 12V should be. If more power is needed, 18V is available. Bosch 10.8V in Australia doesn't seem to be dead at all. We just recently had a brushless angle grinder released, as well as a brushless drill, brushless impact driver, brushless 3/8 impact wrench and brushless screwdriver.
  22. I nearly bought into Dewalt just for their reciprocating saw (good reviews, lightweight, good specs). I wasn't too sure about getting the Metabo and I thought the handle design might be strange but it is very comfortable! I can see why they might have designed it this way, it helps when angling the saw up and down. Very high quality build even though it is made in China (and not Germany). The soft start is great too. Really smooth. A fair bit heavier than I remember the Dewalt was in Bunnings though. As soon as it stops raining I will take it for a spin. Love Metabo
  23. Does anyone know the differences (if any) between these two batteries? I can't find any information online and the pricing seems inconsistent. Is one an older model? Some pictures I found online showed the red extreme battery is assembled in China, whereas the other black version is Hungary. Thanks
  24. Ryobi is often very overpriced in Australia however the mentioned kit is currently only $269 AUD. On the other hand a brushless Ryobi one+ hammer drill skin is $159 AUD whereas a Metabo SB 18 LTX BL brushless impulse hammer drill skin is only $160 AUD! The only place we can buy Ryobi is Bunnings https://www.bunnings.com.au/search/products?q=ryobi&facets=BrandName%3DRyobi One%2B
  25. Great video. Thanks for putting in all the work to make it! Can't wait to see the next one. I'm still waiting on an order for the (last place) Metabo. I haven't seen it in person yet but chose it for its light weight and small size (after seeing the TIA review). Did you find the grip too large and uncomfortable or was it smaller than other Metabo grips? How did it compare to Dewalt's?
