99.99 Is not bad I sent it in and the guaranteed repair cost was 199.99 max and they ate every bit of that with poor results.
I Will no longer fix other then the springs.
Yeah I must agree with the poor results at service center Repairs.
Saddest Part is they Test the guns with 2in Smooth Shank nails. They won't test the guns in the service center for 3.25 RingShank?

Might be better to just get a new one the service center hosed me on repairs.
Mine charges me a Flat Rate of 99.99 and they call it a Tune up includes parts so getting it fixed really isn't an issue
My Hitachi A5 comes tommorrow so for now I'm running Air
This Dewalt gun is the best and worst tool they make if that makes any sense

I can’t help you.
As a side note, I’m considering getting the Hitachi cordless framer. Trying to get away from pneumatic.
Really like the DeWalt framer. Just thinking the Hitachi might be better.
Won’t fit my batteries though
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI took a hard look at the Hitachi cordless and it's definantly badass seems heavier than the Dewalt. Uses compressed air to fire.
Im not buying into their battery platform for 1 tool so I decided against it .
if it ever hits the Lowe's clearance section I'll probably pick it up anyway

broken spring would dryfire, because it pulls the firing blade up after shooting.
you check the power switch? 1 vs 2?
Thanks for the help .
Power switch is on 2
i believe I have jammed the driver blade.
A little diagnosis sometimes it will fire the 1st shot then after that set each nail only 1/8 of an inch into the wood.

I dropped from about 5ft up onto a Concrete driveway landed on its side.
No Longer fires nails just barely sets them into the wood.
If I broke a spring is this how it would act
trying to diagnose before I take to service center.
Also on a Side note I ordered the Hitachi A5 Coil Framer kinda moving away from cordless nailers.
Still plan on getting the Dewalt fixed as a in a pinch gun.

As JT stated and I checked you can only get that Saw with the rolling stand.
As for not needing or wanting it in your case I would just go ahead and make the purchase you can use the stand for a Planer as well

Dalugh wood handle framer is my favorite. Swing all day with no pain

That is Crazy.
Wondering it's intended target or usage?

I've seen other brands that don't require electronics instead a manual pump action. I like this idea and design

The new name for Hitachi air tools in USA will be Metabo HPT

Anyone hear any rumors of a 60v framing gun in the works? The existing 20v is pretty decent but just needs that extra bit of pep IMO. Sometimes toe nailing just isn't happening.
I'm not saying it needs to be 60v but definantly needs to be stronger.
There was talk of Gen3 Nailers a while back

I'm kind of going the other way with regards to Festool. I believe that other brands are slowly bridging the gap, and festool is doing little to keep the gap widening other then the yearly price increases. I have around 7-8 pieces of festool gear as well as a vac, but i'm not really seeing anything new from them that really excites me.....Except the bluetooth remote for the vac's. That will work exceptionally well when i hook up the CT26 to my new Makita cordless slider
Let me know how you like that Makita I must say I was impressed seems to be a close comparison to the 790

Does anybody really expect a drill to last 20 years. 5 years is more than good enough to me. By then it's time for a new toy.
For sure . Don't bring that 18v Dewalt stuff around me it's 2018

Do you use your Impact to drive fastners and screws?
-
Well the 791 isn't a Hammer Drill so I would stick with what you got.

Ryobi has 18v sanders, corner cat, ROS, and quarter-sheet...just sayin'
Yeah I used the ROS on a buddy's job site and let's just say that it's a child's toy .
Apply any pressure to the workpiece and watch the sander slow to a crawl.
