  1. My new Bosch RH540M SDS Max rotary hammer included a tube of Bosch 1.615.430.010 grease. My usage of this tool is to clean the bits, including the sliding shaft region, prior to storage. Prior to inserting a bit into the tool, a dab of grease is applied to each shaft groove.
  2. Many of my DeWALT SDS Max tools have bags instead of boxes. For each of those bags I got engraved luggage tags w/ my name, phone number and tool ID. Each of those tags are a different color. Those colored tools are cool.
  3. Yep, gotta love it when they retain the existing part number for a different part...
  4. This looks like the first jacket, on the manufacture's site, available in three colors, but not gray. No joy on second jacket. You need to move to the US...
  5. There have been infrequent encounters for me on ECX screws, always on electrical parts. I just ordered those Milwaukee bits for that usage. Many times I was able to use square drive bits for tightening, so I used that drive bit.
  6. Some overhead electrical fixtures have trim covers retained by screw/studs and spherical balls that finger screw onto those "studs". These ball screws might be used in that application.
  7. Most ball head fastener images I located showed either having a shoulder, an Allen hex drive receptacle, or both. Some also have a larger hex drive shoulder. The ones w/ the larger hex drive shoulder appear to be applicable for usage as part of a ball joint system, w/ the shoulder being used to provide strength.
  8. That is a spade head thumb screw.
  9. This appears to be a combination drive, accepting both Torx and flat head screwdriver.
  10. Welcome to the forum. Why not take photographs and either change the colors yourself, or have that done by a tile company to get a better feel for the end result?
  11. There is another online vendor, showing the same price and shipment date for the tool-only. That other vendor also has the kit, w/ the battery, charger and bag, same shipment date.
  12. That vendor is now showing DeWALT DCN623 23 gauge pin nailer tool-only pre order w/ shipment expected April 15.
  13. Welcome to the forum. Other than the excessive length, do the brushes fit? If so, then maybe some creative rework can provide an acceptable result. For example, if the exterior surface of a hole saw, w/ approximately the same diameter as the motor commutator is covered w/ abrasive attached w/ adhesive, then that could be a tool to rework the brush length. If going that route wear air and eye protection. This is a perfect example of why it is a great idea to create a computer folder w/ manual and part diagram files for tools after they are purchased.
  14. Welcome to the forum (both of you). This topic shows the repair of my 0224-1 drill using the obsolete 23-66-1350 trigger switch assembly. This topic shows repacking the grease on the gearbox on my 0224-1 drill. Good luck on the search. Mine was not easy to locate.
  15. The TEMCo TH0376 5/8" SDS Max ground rod driving adapter provides amazing results. This permits driving a ground rod (like a hot knife through butter) w/o difficulty. I used this to bury four 10' ground rods, two for the house, two for the detached shed / workshop, having a sub panel. Unlike my prior Primitive Pete efforts, using my mini Thor hammer, the exposed end looks almost pristine, w/ zero mushrooming impact damage. In one instance the rod found a rock. It paused for a second, then continued on to the desired depth w/o any extra effort on my part. The only "difficulty" was having to start 10' up on a step ladder, but IMO that was not an issue. Images shows one rod driven below grade holding the vertical tool and the second ready to be driven.
  16. Why not just inset the cooktop into a pocket so the top surface is flush, w/ a thin border gap, to permit removing the cooktop for normal service / repair?
  17. Nice projects. Thanks for sharing. Why not wall mount the TV? When I do mine I also add receptacles for power and cable to make the installation cleaner. This one has a Wi-Fi cable TV box, so no RF cable required, but I added that duplex receptacle.
  18. Nice cooktop. If welded then the planned / designed serviceability will be adversely affected.
  19. Looks nice. The Germans make nice stuff. For the US, the best option is to select 12/3 conductor size for 120VAC / 20A plug / receptacle. This one fits the bill for my purpose. (US Made)
  20. Wow, a heck of a tool at a heck of a price. (At least it can also substitute as a medical ultra sound tool for imaging in vitro babies). My Bosch GMS120 plus my very old school stud finder are more than sufficient for my needs when working on existing construction.
  21. Cool looking blades. FWIW, I use the blunt sides of my dead OMT blades for cutting through plaster / sheetrock, such as when installing electrical receptacle boxes in existing construction. These are ideal for that purpose AND last forever. Edit, also used the side "edges" on my dead OMT blades to cut this sheetrock rectangle when I needed to rework my drain plumbing, shown in this reply.
  22. Yes, the Blade Buddy is available in US Amazon. IMO, that is a great option if only three blades are required for storage. Edit, each drawer holds one 1/8" 10" blade, 8" blade and 7¼" blade, for a total of nine appropriately sized blades. But a solution like this custom table saw base, w/ a blade drawer appears more appropriate for people like me w/ many blades.
