Jas
I'm stuck in a pickle been to loads of hardware store no solution, not even sure what i am looking for at all to open this thing. The screws are holding my car stereo in place and its one of the weirdest ones I've come across.

JMG
Probably have to buy the tool from the car dealer parts department. I have a socket in my tool collection from a Porsche special security nut that was only available through their part system at the time I needed it. JimboS1ice
If there's enough meat on it you might be able to get a bolt extractor around it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jronman
looks like a security screw. I would guess they would be required now days so people don't steal radios from cars.
BMack37
Forgot about this. It does really look like tamper proof torx plus. See if that will fit in there, it might now fit perfectly but it might work. I know pretty much all the security fasteners but I'm drawing a blank on this if the inside ridges are pronounced like it looks. The easy way to do it... one of my most valuable tools in my bag: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002L6HJAA If you get those pliers, don't grip very hard or you'll chew the outside of the head up...you can reuse the hardware if you grip it lightly.
