I love my Bosch 12v stuff for finish carpentry, they will drive 3 1/4” screws without any problem and run a forstner bit for cabinet door hinges, but they fall short when trying to break loose even a 10mm bolt or drill out a broken 1/4” stud. Mechanic and metal work is 18v territory, hands down. I still don’t understand why you seem to want to get rid of everything and start from scratch when you already have quality tools.
