JohnCC
Hi guys... New here. I have an old Euromax 25 compressor, which started acting up a couple of days ago. Noisy and occasionally blocked completely. Some testing showed it was the motor (I removed the oil and checked the piston which was moving fine. So I started to disassemble the rest, and did not find how to remove the 'crankshaft' (the compressor has only one cylinder). It's mounted on the motor axis, and in between is the bearing which clearly is not working well. I included a couple of pictures. Can anyone suggest how the crankshaft might be mounted? The left photo shows the crankshaft, and part of the bearing. At the other side is the motor rotor, almost rouching the bearing too. I can't notice any indication of how the actual mounting mechanism.
wingless
Welcome to the forum. Based on the limited info, it looks like the bearing is pressed into the housing.
