joeee_smith
Hello All, Apologies if this is a dumb question, this is my first time using a drill so my knowledge is limited! When replacing the drill bit on my fairly new Makita drill on release of the old bit, I think I may have forced the chuck to hard and now it is stuck with the jaw permanently open. Whenever I turn the chuck clockwise its stuck and does lot let me close the Jaw. Is this a common issue? Can it be fixed? Any general advise would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help! Eric - TIA
If it's stuck and you can not close them, grab some pliers. It shouldn't be stuck if you opened it by hand. Probably just new and tight.
