1st post. 12v Dewalt NI-MH Batteries

Yeah, I still have several of the old 12v XRP drill units. They work great for how they are used which is rarely and only for a few minutes. I keep the old Dewalts in the house and the newer stuff in the shop.

I have several batteries that are erroring out the charger. A few haven't even been used that much. The originals are all gone and the current ones are all rebuilds or knock offs. I have seen several things in the past for restoring a NI-MH battery that errors the charger but it seems these posts are now all LI batteries. I don't want to buy yet another platform.

So the question is how do I fool the charger to accept the battery? I'm not without understanding - our place runs on SimpliPhi LI. I understand lithium and love 'em. But for the old NI-MH, can one fool the charger to get it to accept the battery for a charging cycle?
