hthomas3223 Posted January 6, 2022 Report Share Posted January 6, 2022 upon taking apart found a broken bar on the armature and trashed brushes- replaced the brushes and armature, when a battery is installed (tried more then one) and trigger pulled there is a short beep, LED light comes on and goes off and the armature does not spin. removed the gear box from the drill so there is no resistace or drag on armature, tested voltage at the battery at the switch and at the brushes when not around the armature all read 19.8V when i put the brushes around the armature and squeeze trigger voltage at brushes read 4.5-5V and the armature begins to heat up, without pulling the trigger with the battery installed it does not heat up but if i keep the trigger pulled it will get hot- and does not spin. i tested the armature with a multimeter and from what the youtube video said there is not a ground issue inside it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
