Makita 18v 23g Pinner not firing

I’ve had this machine for a couple of years now, not used much but recently the hammer broke, which I replaced. Fired a few nails with it an a few kept getting jammed. I cleared it but now it won’t fire at all the hammer seems to be not all the way back, is there a way of re setting the machine.
