NicholasShetley
I think I will get one for my other grandpa for Christmas. He does a lot of appliance repair and woodworking so it should come in handy
Javier
I wasn't sure of the m18 kits if only the fuel had the newer batteries since I haven't seen any non fuel kits with xc batteries at my home depots. That's great you're getting one for your gramps. What about the fuel impact since it has a low speed for delicate work
NicholasShetley
I don't think he would use that much or forget it had it. Currently he has a craftsman c3 drill and it is huge. This is way lighter and smaller so that should help him a lot.
Javier
That's a good point and also the fuel tools are expensive
NicholasShetley
He doesn't need the extra frills
DR99
Also the fuel tools are kinda on the large size for a 12v tool.
ChrisK
DR99 I'd agree with the size of the M12 tool being large for the sub 18v but they are still compact when compared to the 18v and the power is really impressive. My new drill is pretty big but still smaller than the full size. Really a good size for cabinet work and I have really been enjoying the size when using my Kreg Jig. NicholasShetley
It is still on sale. My mom said that my grandpa didn't need a new one. I still think that he would have appreciated it seeing that his only drill is a huge craftsman cordless drill. I wound up buying me an 11 amp milwaukee angle grinder and a few of the diablo flap wheels.
Javier
I like the size of the m12 fuel impact, it strikes the right balance of size and power.
NicholasShetley
I liked it too. The grip appeared the same on the new m12 impact to me. I like the grip on the m18 fuel tools as well.
