big_n8 Posted February 17 Report Share Posted February 17 G’day all, I’m wanting to get the most out of my M18 (FIFW12) 1/2” square driver without having to buy a seperate 1/4” hex driver. I’ve bought an adapter tool from eBay that fits on the 1/2” anvil and takes a 1/4” hex bit. They’re quite a common tool, so much so, that Milwaukee makes one (certainly better quality). I have used both adapters and they cannot perform the work load that I require. I am digging for anyone who has replaced their standard 1/2” anvil with a “hollow” anvil that has a 1/4” hex rebate. I’m aware of other brands that have these anvils fitted from factory and there seems to be no end of aftermarket anvils (pictured below) on eBay, but none that seems to substitute the Milwaukee anvils outright. If anyone has done what I am aiming to do and has any information pertaining to my predicament I would greatly appreciative for your advice.
