stevespens
Hello all. I have an issue with my model 735 13" benchtop planer. The feed roller bushings, part #5140010-92 have become very tight and are showing some metal fragmentation. When I took the planer apart to investigate why it was running slow, bogging down and even stopping on wider pieces, I found this problem. One of the rollers was so tight, I couldn't turn it with my hand. This was after removing both chains and freeing the rollers. When I removed the hold down bracket, part #5140019-90, I found the bushing very tight in the shaft. My question is, what is a good, permanent lubricant for these bushings? I say permanent because they are difficult to access and something that will last some time would be ideal. Thank you for your time and have a great day. stevespens
Hi there, Does anybody have any suggestions? I ordered new bushings because two of them were scared and I don't trust them. I don't want to ruin the new bushings. The planer only has maybe 200 board feet through it. Any help would be appreciated. Steve
