n1k86123 Posted September 25, 2013 Report Share Posted September 25, 2013 I just ordered and received a combo kit that includes the DCD795 cordless hammer drill. In hammer mode the chuck 'squishes' until the hammer action engages, which is expected. When the setting is changed to drill or one of the numbered clutch settings, there is about 1/4" of spring loaded movement before the chuck bottoms out. Is this normal? I have an older Milwaukee cordless hammer drill/ driver that only 'squishes' when the hammer mode is selected. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
