hss7mm
Hi, had my DeWalt XR 18v Li Ion for about 12 months and have been over the moon with it, until today. I was drilling into brick above my head, with the torque ring on hammer action, and all was well until I needed to drill a bracket and after removing the bit, and putting a hss one in, the ring was stuck and still is stuck on hammer action. The drill works fine and changes speed/direction etc with no problems. Can I fix this on the bench at work? ta
hss7mm
Hi guys, Just to let you know I've fixed my Dewalt Li Ion 18v XR drill on the work bench. The schematic diagram with the owners manual came in well handy. The gearbox/ clutch assembly was a challenge to re-assemble, but I found the culprit- a ball bearing had dropped into the selector ring and jammed it. No quick fix I'm afraid, so unless you're confident in your stripping down abilities, I'd go to a service outlet. 7mm hss out.
