DR99
http://www.protoolreviews.com/news/bosch-inductive-charging-wireless/11219/ Pretty awesome stuff you can just set the tool or battery down on the charger no bothering with trying to slide on packs on chargers anymore. If you have Milwaukee M18 tools you know how it takes a little time to make sure things slide on correctly.
Javier
Hey thats pretty cool, nice to see cell phone tech making its way to power tools. Only thing that sucks is you have to buy new batteries to make use of that charger. I'm still waiting for the day tools have an onboard lcd or oled display and you can electronically set the settings and view usage history. Like if it was a saw you can set the rpm or spm and power for full power or energy saver mode. And be able to see how many hours its been used and service reminders and such. The Tool Nut
Is the extra price really going to be worth it? We had a chat about this at the shop. Apparently this came about due to the inventor's close relative having Parkinsons. Very interesting.
Conductor562
The technology was introduced for cell phones and other electronics a few years back.I don't pretend to know the reasons why, but it never really caught on. The big issue is cost. People aren't going to pay a bunch of extra money for it.
