taylorv1
I am looking into to New Bosch Models: the CM12SD and GCM12SD. I am a fine woodworker. I build cabinets and furniture. Which model should I get? Please Help. Thank You. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DR99
It' just looks like the CM12SD is just an updated version of the GCM12SD. I can't really find any huge changes. The Bosch glide is a nice saw the only downside is the weight. This is a saw that needs some kind of rolling stand or just is mounted in one place. jeffmcmillan
The only difference is the sliding mechanism. The 'G' at the start stands for glide which is a proprietary(?) Bosch thing and a big improvement over a normal sliding miter saw.
austinthecity
How much space do you have? The glide is good for limited space because you can put it right against the wall.
taylorv1
I don't necessarily need to conserve space. Is the glide really worth it?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
taylorv1
I just purchased the GCM12SD. I like it so far. I haven't done any heavy cutting yet. It is very strong, and heavy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ChrisK
Yeahhhhhhhhh baby!!!!!!! Let us know what you think! Also, check out Fastcap. They have the Sawstache which will really help in DC if you attach it to the DC boot on your new saw! Congratulations dude

madman_us
dust extraction on the GCM12SD is really great. the chute should be a little bit longer tho. sometimes the sawdust flies underneath it
