  1. Don't see why not, the price on 3000mah cells has come down dramatically. Can't be any more than 2000mah cells when the 2ah batts were released.I would buy some.
  2. Nice, I've been wondering about larger m12 cells for a while now. I wonder if they'll release 3ah compact batteries as well.
  3. This video is pretty cool. https://youtu.be/4nib2Ktd7TY One thing that I am wondering about is the torque setting. Is it just a standard clutch? I also see an anti-kickback setting. Really cool
  4. For lighting I couldn't see buying the m12 stuff over my zebralight sc600 and h602.
  5. I see the one key drill and driver is out. Surprisingly I'm not seeing any reviews yet.
  6. Honestly, that's tough. My fuel impact driver by far sees the most use. I love that thing. As an electrician the bandsaw is a God send. Makes great cuts and doesn't bounce the material around. There is nothing better for cutting track lighting and wire mold. Does a great job with bolts and obviously pipe. I use the bandsaw for a lot of things. I like the hackzall a lot too. The sds hammer drill is great as well. I'm impressed with the circular saw. It's perfect for my needs. The only m12 tool that I own that I was disappointed by is the vac. Doesn't do a very good job with sheetrock or concrete dust, unlike the m18. Makes it useless to me. Oh, I forgot about the multi-tool. It was too underpowered to be useful for me.
  7. I'll never buy another Makita tool. Tbe old 3 speed lxt gave me nothing but problems. The sawzall was also a pos.
  8. Just saw a two pack at my local tool store
  9. The difference in runtime between the two is definitely noticable.
  10. If anything I've had more issues with the chuck slipping on my m18 fuel. The only gripe that I have with the dcd995 is the higher rpm on second speed.
  11. You're comparing apples to oranges. I use my hackzall for tons of things. Its a great little tool and with the scroll blades that a lot of people sell it can do a lot of things that you would normally do with a jigsaw. Don't get me wrong for certain things like round cuts a jigsaw is the way to go. The hackzall is a great all around tool.
  12. I wouldn't be surprised. The fuel drill really blows the old model out of the water. The difference is night and day.
  13. Thats exactly how I feel. I picked one of these up at the local tool store and it seems sturdy. It seems to have some serious nut. It just felt awkward compared to Milwaukee's 12v. I almost wish that I went with Milwaukee for their M18 line just since I like that "hackzall" design so much.
  14. As long as they don't change anything about their pliers I'll be happy. I really hope that they keep making those in the US. I don't know what I would do without my klein pliers and dikes. I did notice that my 11 in 1 was made in Taiwan or something. I wonder what other tools they're making over seas now.
  15. Yeah, I was kind of surprised when I first noticed just how many kits come with just one battery. Its kind of disappointing. On topic, I would love to try this Fuel SDS. My boss has the original one. I laughed when I first saw it and was very skeptical. For drilling for anchors it works great. I actually used it instead of the corded drill a couple of days ago since it was just so convenient. It blows a small hole pretty quickly.
  16. Thanks, I'm still thinking that the fuel screwdriver may be the better option for me. I usually keep a 5/8 speedbor in my pouch and the impact can't really spin that too well. Its nice to not have to grab a drill to just pop a hole or two and I think that the fuel screwdriver may do the trick for that. On the other hand the impact is fantastic for self tapping screws. It also seems to do well for machine screws when set to low speed. I did pick up the fuel drill and it has some serious testicle. It'll spin a good sized hole saw pretty easily. Its just a bit too bulky and heavy to carry in my pouch.
  17. I'm glad that I saw this thread. I also figured that the impact function is what I disliked so much about impact drivers. I just picked up an M12 fuel impact and the low speed function is great for all of those things where I would have been worried about snapping screws on a typical all or nothing impact. .
