  1. Kruton is dead on about the grip. I was really "Wera-y" yukka yukka yukka about the grips but they are really a joy to hold. Perfect purchase for fingers.
  2. I like it Jimbo, are you going to put that guy on casters and if so what size do you think?
  3. Nice deal rich, is the rebate on menards site?
  4. Works awesome and that first deal is pretty sweet. Especially for our gear heads!
  5. Nice rich, I've got that exact set for a little over a year and love them. They are fantastic drivers and I never get can out with them.
  6. Nice Toronto! Can't wait to get mine, it's not on the short list but this summer I'll have one when I start building the pergola. Nice belt too, my Wife got me an Occidental clip on organizer which is super nice. Thing will last forever.
  7. Thanks for the great comments guys. This has been quite the change for this dark dank basement and it's been pretty fun to go down and work in there. I'm still of the mindset that moving to an outdoor building with heat and AC and a big door for lumber and sheet goods will be in my future but this shop is definitely cutting it for me and I am one blessed guy to have the shop in my home.
  8. And a shop tour video..... Thanks for following along guys. Im going to register a name for my shop with the State for my best friend Rufus who I lost in September. It was hard getting back down here without the little guy but lately it's been pretty therapeutic. When I retire in the next three years I want to start putting out some projects and try to get some side business and having a name will help. Not going to post it now till its official. As far as my Wife supporting my habit...yeah I'm like a heroin addict with my woodshop...I'm one lucky guy. She's beautiful and she enjoys my projects coming upstairs and into our home as well as sharing them with friends and family. I really am blessed. Happy New Year guys.
  9. The problem with the stack here is the arbor is too short. I have a TS for breaking down the sheet goods and will, when I move into a larger shop, get a SawStop but the 745 is fantastic for what I am using it for and could not ask for a better machine....for the price point! I picked this over the Bosch because they expanded the rip width and the awesome fence.
  10. Love it. Only gripe I have is the spindle won't take a Dado stack. I double up blades for a thicker kerf cut but that's my only gripe. I love my DW745
  11. Why Zach, yes you do sir, yes you do! Tomorrow I'll post part two, with a LOT more Festools
  12. That shop had existed in pieces for over six years. My main saw at the time was my Ridgid 10" non sliding miter saw backed up with a Ryobi 10" contractor saw. The shop had one decent light and like now, several ceiling mounted outlets. My previous relationship would not allow me to expand or get more embroiled into woodworking and my tools were limited but did me okay. When I met my Wife and she saw my hobby first hand she said "no....you need more space". So I began the move.....
  13. I'm going to try to post some pics today of the shop. It's been quite the ride but things have shaped up nicely. It started over a year ago when I began the move over to the current location. Interestingly enough, I may be moving it again, to an exterior building which would be sweet but we will have to wait and see...... These first few pictures are of my original shop....
  14. http://www.cp.com/en/whatwedo/powertools/cordless/ Theres the latest no to their site. I'm not an auto guy but they looked like a decent tool when I first read this some time ago. Can't seem to buy them through traditional means though.
  15. Here's an article Stuart wrote at Tool Guyd, they look like they might be backed by Ridgid too.... http://toolguyd.com/chicago-pneumatic-cordless-power-tools/
  16. Hey! Makita has one too! It might come with a Makita Seniorita so I'm in!
  17. Bosch actually has one of those thingy majigs too. Pretty slick unit, small table and miter saw in one.
