    New Drill

As far as the grinder, I don't know. I would check Milwaukees site for the V19 lime. Conductor562 also spoke on the rebuilds quality for LI and I agree too. I know the NiCad and NiMH rebuilds are good. I would look at the reviews before dumping fifty bucks. I do know there is an online store on eBay that does the rebuilds for Makita BL1830 and the reviews have been pretty positive. I know of a rebuild place in southern Maine but to be honest, I sent them a Panasonic NiMH battery back year or so ago, and followed up for six weeks and they never sent me the battery. Not a happy camper.

Yup. LI is the way to go. The reasoning is you can charge them, leave the charger attached or store them for a long Tim because of no memory effect. NiCads have memory, for instance my mag light battery goes bad every year because if I don't use it it regularly the battery keeps that memory subsequently causing shorter and shorter run times. NiCads are good in extreme cold however. NiMH batteries generally have less of a memory problem but again, if you store your batteries for long times between uses, LI is the way to go. Also, I have used my lithiums in freezing temps in Maine working on a farm outside and they worked fine. They make rebuild kits that they sell on line but if you've got two good batteries, I would find someone to ship it to for a rebuild!

Wow I actually am long winded! Cut myself off there! So in short, if you are not doing this fully time or you only have the one tool three batteries is MORE than enough!!!! Spend money on more tools!!!! That V18 Impact is supposed to be a really good impactor and a circular saw is ALWAYS a good idea!

Like your drill, look on eBay. I buy and sell a lot of power tools there and have found some excellent deals on that site. I have never owned the V18 line, I do own the M18 Fuel Impact as well as the sawzall and circular saw (M18) as well as a Milwaukee Router and several M12 tools. Milwaukee is a great brand with solid tools and the metal gearing is great (V18 too). Conductor562 said to try a rebuild and I agree, you've got two good ones and a bad battery. Send the battery out on line (just Google battery rebuilds) there are some great companies out there and it is normally half the price of buying new. There are also several stores on eBay that sell rebuilt batteries for a bit less than the new ones. If your a pro nicads and NiMH batteries may work out but if you a serious diy type like me, I would stick with lithiums because no memory effect and hardly any storage discharge. Also, if your not a pro using these tools all the time, I would not buy too many more batteries, you'd be surprised how much two batteries will do for you especially when you can charge one while us
  5. Scientists found that the only cure for cancer right now are the tears from Chuck Norris. Only problem...Chuck Norris don't cry! And I bet he don't drive a Prius either!

  7. At least you didn't watch that vampire crud!!!! I was hoping for the drill but Prius?!? God, I may as well hang my spurs on the door and move to San Francisco! Boy my Ram would be ticked off!
  8. Jack hammer, which is kind of funny because I thought when I read the title only that I was supposed to just pick a tool in which case I was going to say dent puller because of the dents I deal with
  9. WTH?!?!?! What's up with these stupid ads? As far as the jacket goes, I got nothing but do you like the coat, I was thinking of getting one? Thanks
  10. Well...my Wife bought me a collapsible Husky tool box which is going to fit all of my Kregg stuff. I then bought myself the Bosch HDS 181-02L hammer drill kit. Plus the l-boxx is sweet. My Dad got me a HD gift card and I also got the Leather man Charge AL. All in all very sweet Christmas! No on to first person shooter games.......

  14. Anybody know when the new M12 Fuel line and batteries are supposed to be released?
  15. Hey everyone. Short notice but I just bought the above from Tools-Plus.Com for $159 minus $25 Bosch incentive with free shipping. The sale includes the hammer drill, Bosch' new HC 1.5ah lithiums, 30 minute charger and the l-boxx 2. So $134!!! The $25 program is going on through the 31st but...they raised the price to $169 (still only $144 - awesome price!) I ordered it Christmas Eve and it came today UPS in the middle of a nor' easter! Good luck and Happy New Year.
  16. I have the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Impact and Hammer. The hype is true. Awesome battery run time and crazy torque. Check eBay for deals, people off loading them with minimal use, pop up occasionally.
  17. Hey there. I have the 12v Bosch P31-2al drill kit with Sortimo's tool box. Lithium Ion with 1.5ah batteries and thirty minute charger. Awesome kit. I paid $94.99 (USA) on Amazon as a special. They have the tool with soft side case for $99 (USA) at our local Lowes. Milwaukee M12 is good too with plenty of torque. Hope this helps!
