  1. I have an older Makita LXDT01 and I can snap in a bit without having to move the chuck sleeve, so obviously Makita has been producing them for a while. That being said, I am located in the states, so maybe there's a difference in what they have here versus Europe.
  2. Rockler also carries GRK Pheinox R4 stainless steel screws. They are torx head instead of square, but if you are looking for something that won't strip, they are great. Each box also comes with the necessary Torx bit included.
  3. In light (no pun intended) of the rather "unique" design of the larger unit, the feedback on ergonomics & overall practicality would be welcome. If it performs well, it is going on my Father's Day wish list.
  4. I like the PB Swiss precision screwdrivers, but they don't have anywhere near the selection of some of the other manufacturers.
  5. I agree with Javier on the goofy look for the bigger light, but you have to love the fact that it puts out 1200 lumens. I also love the multiple power sources available for it.
  6. I can't believe how small that thing is and I love the fact that comes with the 5.0 Ah battery. I just hope it comes to The US soon.
  7. Amazon has the kit with charger and two batteries for $421.95. not too bad a price considering what you get. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003V5H8LU/ref=redir_mdp_mobile
  8. Hi Maze. I believe that you are supposed to press and hold the tool bit adjustment button, set the length that you're looking for and then release the bit adjustment menu button in order to get it to lock in place. That looked to be what you were doing in the video when you got it to occasionally work. Perhaps you could try that and let us know if that does the trick?
  9. That is a great find. If I wasn't already heavily invested in Bosch l - box for storage, I would jump on this. Heck, I still might take advantage of it.
  10. So I saw this on amazon I'm not sure if it is the same tool or not as it has a different model number, but the description is 18V x 2 for the battery. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00HHZ029U
  11. Bosch just announced a new heavy duty drill and a heavy duty hammer drill at the world of concrete (HDH182 & DDH182) with a new torque control function. I don't believe these are even out yet, so it makes you wonder how long it's going to be before they release brushless versions if they just announced these updates. BTW - sorry for not picking up that you had already mentioned the dewalt kit at the beginning of your initial post, I did not scroll all the way up to the top of your post when I was replying.
  12. I would love to see more manufacturers include stackable cases with the tools like Bosch and Festool do. I believe Dewalt has packaged some of their tools in modular storage cases in the UK, but I haven't heard if they plan to do that here. Makita actually has stackable boxes, but they aren't available in the states either. http://www.makita.fi/makpac.html.
  13. I wouldn't say that the Bosch under performs in relation to the Milwaukee, rather it is a function of this particular Bosch model being a "lighter" duty model while the 2604 is a more heavy duty model. As WIElectrian mentioned, Bosch has a heavier duty HDH181, but they haven't updated it with a brushless version yet. If you are looking towards the Milwaukee because of the increased torque, you might also look at this Dewalt combo: http://m.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-20-Volt-Max-XR-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Brushless-Hammer-Drill-and-Impact-Driver-Combo-Kit-2-Tool-DCK296M2/204678759?cm_mmc=shopping-_-googleads-_-pla-_-204678759&skwcid&kwd=&ci_sku=204678759&ci_kw=&ci_gpa=pla&ci_src=298346236 The impact is only a single speed, but I like the light placement on the drill better along with the adjustability of the side handle as compared to the Milwaukee. Dan & Eric did a nice head to head comparison between the two drills on their YouTube channel that you might want to check out.
  14. If you decide to go with a Jet, CPO Outlet has a 15% off sale this weekend. I believe you use the code "PREZ15" when checking out.
