I bought the fuel impact for a buddy at work through my company and let's just say he guards it like a pitbull lol I did use it and it's crazy that it's 12v and weighs nothing!!!
Go makita! I use it almost every day in our shop and we don't baby it! It really holds up, also someone mentioned the bag falling off! If you put it in fairly tight you shouldn't have that problem, it has fell of with a shop vac hose connected tho!
If I were you I'd go with milwaukee fuel, this topic goes back and forth but they both kick ass. Reason being is you get a better 18volt line up with team red, a lot more brushless tools and brushed I believe? I got the fuel and it has plenty power and feels great in hand to me, also they seem to launch tools at a faster rate then dewalt.
Go bare tool refurbished if you have batteries and chargers? Cpo? I'm in Illinois and we have some nice flea markets and I get deals all the time on all tools! Specially after winter where a lot of tradesmen sell them to keep a float over winter!
If it's a bogo, your right can't go wrong! Don't get me wrong, the brushed version still kicks ass! Fuel is brushed on steroids and I love the look of them and slimmer handles for greater comfort!
http://www.milwaukeetool.com/press-releases/cordless-m12-fuel-hackzall That's answers my own question! I'm mad cause not to long ago I bought the old boring hackzall...
I'd say it's worth it if you only need a drill, but most likely down the line you will want to add a tool here and there. I'd go with Somthing more mainstream like milwaukee, dewalt, metabo, or hilti ect. I think it's kinda bulky looking
