  1. Interesting, but normally these things are not compatible from a brand to another one. I like the DeWALT design for this tool. Hope they make this tool in 20V platform as well.
  2. MacTools, Facom and Stanley Infrastructure tools do use DeWLAT batteries and they are SBD brands. There are other brands which are not SBD brands (at least not now) and use DeWALT batteries such as Klien Tools and Graco. Some Bostitch 12V tools used DeWALT batteries as well.
  3. Also you do not need to buy any drill bit with SDS+ shank, You can buy any type of drill bit with 1/4" hex shank to use with impact drivers and buy this adapter for SDS+ from Snappy
  4. Armeg is a British brand making some SDS+ Auger drill bits, they are good with SDS+ products, Specially some TCT SDS+ chisels (British / Italian made) https://www.armeg.com/Wood-Auger-Drill-Bits-Hexagon-Shank
  5. I have seen Confirmat screws only with Hex 3mm/4mm or Pozi #3 head only, are there any with Square or Phillips head?! Or even Torx?! Thanks

    Phillips #4

In UK we mostly use Phillips #2 for Drywall (Plaster Boards) screws and very rarely Phillips #1 for some wooden fittings like curtain rails and I have never used Phillips #4 myself, but here European version of Phillips which is called Pozi is the most common and I used Pozi #4 once almost a decade ago for very long and thick screws, and I remember Pozi #3 was not working on them properly. But now most thick screws are Torx (T40) not Pozi or Phillips.
  7. I think Trumpf cordless tools are made in Germany. Also Edding is made in Germany, as well as Jost, Gesipa and Baier. The problem with brands like DeWALT, Makita or Milwaukee is most of their tools are made in China it seems, But CAS barnds make their tools mostly in Europe.
  8. Trumpf CAS 12V Cordless Tools
  9. Yes, the prices for some are extreme though, The Edding Marker is £3600 ($4500)
  10. Birchmeier Cordless Spayer (Made in Switzerland)
  11. Thanks for the information, Metabo has done a great job with CAS, most of the brands joined CAS are brands that they make their cordless power tools in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark and Spain and I think one brand in UK as much as I remember. They make some unique tools, I will post some more photos with more details. It is interesting why they are not known in US market.
  12. Anyone knows of strange 1/4" hex shank power tool accessories?! Please let me know.
  13. It is a bit difficult, put one of the pin ends in the hole and then bend the middle of the hole plastic up (gently) and push the other pin in place. they are a bit flexible, the new version has two metal pins it seems, easier to change, which versions have you got?!

    Phillips #4

I would use PH4 bits as they are big screws and if you damage some, later you will have trouble unscrewing them!
  15. I wonder which brands of CAS (Metabo's Cordless Alliance System) are well known in the US and which tools. I am going to add some photos here from different brands within the alliance and if you have seen them in your country (US, Australia, Japan and etc.) please let me know. Regards
  16. Depends on your work, here is a good one.
  17. I am looking for quality 1/4" E6.3 Hex shank brad point drill bits in Imperial sizes, preferably USA made, I know Insty Bit USA made ones, but only their bits larger than 1/4" in dia are made of one piece of metal, the smaller sizes are plugged, is there another brand? I have seen Neiko ones but they are short and also in 5-6 different sizes only.
  18. These Makita SDS+ brad point drill bits are not made of one piece of metal, they are plugged.
  19. There are some SDS+ Auger wood drill bits from a German brand called CK in 6 Metric sizes only as much as I remember. 12mm, 16mm... SDS+ shank brad point?! First time here I found out about Makita ones, I would not use SDS+ brad point drill bits in these small sizes, they might break easily. I should also say CK is a German brand but their Auger bits seems to be made in Far East (China/Taiwan most probably) Currently none of the well known brands do make their Auger drill bits in Western World, Only quality but expensive Auger drill bits are made by Star-M (Known as WoodOwl in USA and kwb in Europe) made in Japan. Also Fisch makes some in Austria. What I said here is about 1/4" E6.3 hex shank Auger drill bits, if you go for round shank auger drill bits you can find German made FAMAG Auger drill bits but very expensive.
