  1. It looks like the specs for the DCB118 are wrong as it is supposed to be 4 amps for slim packs (1.5 and 2.0ah) and 8 amps for fat packs, so the charge times for the larger packs should be nearly half of those listed. It's disappointing that the new twin charger (DCB132) only charges at 4 amps unlike the fast single charger.
  2. Metabo don't count the weight of the removable quick chuck do they as they list the old brushless as 2kg? Have you seen the compact model 2100/600 rpm 60/34 nm hard/soft torque 1.5kg.
  3. Hey @dwain have you heard about their new 18v brushless compact and full size drills? ps when will the makita bl recip video drop?
  4. I'm not aware of any other manufacturer that has a faster charger, but Hitachi themselves have a charger model no. UC18YDL in Japan that does a 6.0ah in 30mins and a 5.0ah in 25mins.
  5. Don't forget that although Makita has had some compatibility issues they haven't abandoned an entire 18v li ion system like Milwaukee, Dewalt and Hitachi have in the past.
  6. If you look at the manual, the length and stroke length are identical. Apparently there are also several other Hilti tools made Makita as well.
  7. What model of corded Hilti are you talking about?
  8. I know Makita and Hitachi have alot of 14.4v tools based on 18v tools in Japan and possibly other regions, like wise Bosch in Europe.
  9. I have tried the Irwin speedbor max with an impact and the seem to work well so i was curious how the daredevils work.
  10. Not really as the Makita I believe is made by Ogura who use Makita drill bodies.
  11. Have you tried that Bosch daredevil spade bit with an impact driver and the Ridgid stealth force to see how they perform?
