  1. Welcome Joe! greetings from northeast IL
  2. I buy out of necessity. If I am doing a project that requieres something specific I will buy it. I am a saver by nature so that's how I roll. I'm also a cheap tightwad and proud of it. So even if I have the money to buy something it takes a while to part ways with the cash. Now if I need something at work that's another story, company Home Depot card helps me in that situation.
  3. Greetings, glad to have you here. I don't know anything clean in another language so I will leave it at that.
  4. Welcome Robert! Glad to have you.
  5. That is so cool. I love how "no big deal" you sound. Ya know I built a robot and coded it, and I'm teaching it Kung fu, no biggie. Keep eps up the good work! Mite great that you are sharing your knowledge with the next generations.
  6. You want sunshine, THREE DOLLARS!
  7. I think what our nutty friend was trying to say was, welcome to the forum glad to have you. Protool can be a nutcase, but he's our nutcase haha
  8. So... It's an ugly ass elevator for one person who is better off than some but not as much as most...I think I got it!
  9. Great video Jimbo! I generally use my right angle attachment, but have been meaning to get one of these to get me out of the under sink jams and such.
  10. I always see them at the checkouts at Ace hardware. They have screw drivers the same style. Amazon has some options for ya.
  11. I never leave home without it on my hip. I use it everyday for something. I have had SAKs over the years and kept returning to my leathermans
  12. Make a raft and a propeller and use the M18 as an outboard!
  13. Great idea PROTOOL. Most people think your surrounded by water but your really surrounded by death. All that water and if you drink it your done for.
  14. My leatherman Charge TTI. Can be used a s a signal device, Spear head, saw. It would come in very handy. Interested to see what other ideas people come up with.
  15. Saw these after we renovated our whole house. I wish I had seen them earlier. We have been using them in commercial applications for a while now (charging stations at airports). Very cool and handy item to have.
  16. Love this idea! My hard hat is like a display case of medals. It has my training stickers from various large projects. And tells you a little about me. If you take one look at it you know I like John Deere, Milwaukee tools, and my last name is very important to me. I have to wear it everyday, so why not have it be me.
  17. Looks great! Love the choice of hardware. Fits the space very nicely. Kudos!
  18. Howdy Tex! Welcome to the Crew!
  19. Turned out really clean, great job!
  20. If those are sticking out of your pocket at a meeting or on the site you can bet you will not hear the end of it. We ridicule for less.

  24. First off, Welcome to the Crew! I agree 100% with ChrisK (I start a lot of posts that way). The 18v-20v end of the market is more than likely where you should be looking. Since at times your projects can be demanding the 12v will not be able to keep up with everything. I am a contractor, I use the Milwaukee 18 for EVERYTHING big and small jobs. As far as brands go, anything from Milwaukee, Dewalt, Bosch, Makita. These companies all make great tools, and they are so close in comparison that's why there are so many tool fight reviews and comparison videos. So in the end you cannot go wrong. As far as kit vs single goes I would go with a kit. You may not need that second or third or fourth tool yet, but you will and when you do you will have gotten it cheaper. What is your budget? And keep checking the forums, guys are always posting the latest deals on tools. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
