  1. Great comparison there. I thought the brushed model was way smaller compared to the fuel. It actually was on my shoplist for compact drill. I will go with bosch then for compacts and use my dcd790 when I do need full 1/2" chuck capacity Thank you C Harris!
  2. I own the DCD990 and am so happy with it so I don't feel like getting the new milwaukee at all
  3. I guess you are blessed with that in US. Here in Finland the price difference is larger than that. Hmmm, the post I made regarding that don't really make sense then since the majority at this forum is from the states. Apologies about that then if I may have seemed like a fool
  4. I think it's important for a tool manufacturer to keep their existing models for sale when upgrading to new brushless models since brushless models tend to be much more pricey. Everyone don't care for the top notch, most powerful, longest runtime that money can buy but care more for reliability for a older more experienced tool and perhaps more "bang for the buck" since lower price tag than the newer brushless model that come out. Even thou many like to see the new models come without brushes these days Just my toughts on the matter.
  5. Dewalt UK on facebook just posted that it will be available in UK in August. Great news guys
  6. I own the cordless multitool and I love it. Makes me smile almost every times I use it because of how good it is. I don't find it back heavy at all
  7. Well here in Finland we don't get any Dewalt hand tools at all.
  8. Thanks Chewie! Really simple, and takes almost no time to put together after you have measured everything so all the drill bits fit. To ahead and copy it. That's why I uploaded the pictures. Sorry about the orientation of the pictures. First time I uploaded pics here so I don't really know why they all got rotated 90 degrees
  9. Nice Job chewie! This is a spade/self feed drill box I made 10 years ago in school. It's placed in a toolbox I made at the same time but is removable, and the drill bits fold up like in the pictures
  10. I have not noticed that one on my tool. Will check it out next time I grab it.
  11. Yeah we are some lucky bastards I got my DCD990P2 kit in a tstak with molded insert. That tstak was some odd model thou, almost like a tstak II but smaller and with a different front handle. On the other hand, my DCS355D2 kit came in a standard tstak II with foam insert, which was cut-out for the tool and all the accessories. Guess I have to buy and see for my self later on,
  12. Hey guys! Here in EU Dewalt has started to bundle some cordless bare tools with tstak boxes, which I think is a great idea since I plan to stuff almost every tool I have into tstaks. I'm gonna buy the 790 drill/driver as a bare tool and plan to keep that one in the same tstak as my impact driver. I haven't got a box for them so I thought I'd buy it bundled with a tstak (model number DCD790NT, N stands for bare tool here in EU and T when it's bundled with a tstak) instead of buying a tstak separately. My question to you guys, since I can't find this on the internet myself is: Does the tstak come with hard insert with cutouts for that tool or soft insert so I can cut it myself?
  13. Will be dancing on bananas the day they release that nailer
  14. I've come to understand that many would want a cordless orbital sander and I can understand that (who doesn't want everything cordless nowadays ) I don't use sanders that much so that's why it's not on my list. Keep on filling the list with tools that you would want guys. And perhaps some of the Dewalt reps here at the forum can keep our hopes up.
  15. That's right. The only difference on those tools is that DCD995 has hammer mode, which I don't use and don't want to pay extra money for. I really like the saw thou I haven't had the pleasure to use it for full work days and don't have much to compare it to. It's not the fastest saw by any means and might have more vibrations than other top models out there, but the compact size makes up for that IMO. If you're looking for a compact cordless one for smaller jobs, I say go for it!
  16. So far I've got the multi tool DCS335, drill/driver DCD990, impact driver DCF895 and the recip saw DCS387 in the cordless range. Must say I love all of them and waiting for a reason to need the DCF620 screwgun and hopefully the upcoming cordless brad nailer, haven't seen a glitch of that yet but I am pretty sure it will come out since they now released the cordless finish nailer.
  17. Same here Eric. This post made me hop on the pinterest-train. Was really easy to create a acount for that matter if you choose to log in with facebook
  18. After the Dewalt media event 2015 I feel a bit dissapointed with what they showed. Milwaukee had some more interesting tools at their event IMO. Everybody has said that 2015 is the year for Dewalt to shine, but so far I'm not that impressed. What I'm hoping for in the 20V cordless line at this moment is: -Updated jigsaw with barrel grip (maybe brushless, but that will increase the price tag of course) -Brushless, more powerful circular saw -Brushless angle grinder -Brushless compact impact wrench. Take the technology from the new DCF899 and smash it in the form factor of the DCF880 These new tools will keep me on the yellow path and not mix in to team red. Not that I would mind those tools from Milwaukee but I intend to stick to one 18V/20V platform
