It may be to brag about the runtime when they compare their 9.0ah (actual 9.3ah) to let's say Milwaukees 9.0ah (if that is the actual ah rating) they may get a couple of cuts more with a recip saw or circular saw. Car manufactures have done this in the past, lowered the actual hp rating equal to others and get better acceleration times on paper. This is just my speculations. I have a couple of Tajima and Komelon tape measures. Both good value for the money. I never pay extra for a one with strong housing because that's never the cause of a broken unit for me, it's the ends that often break or it gets jammed up from rain water and sand/dirt in my cases. I'm also on the Dewalt 20v max line but went with m12 for a couple of tools that Dewalt did not live up to or did not have in their 12v line.
