  1. I've never had use for a dado stack yet Chris but always like to have the option to do extra things. Besides the extra rip capacity does the bigger saw have any other advantages over the 745 like is it more powerful or are they basically the same saw but ones bigger
  2. I mentioned this in a post earlier, if they were bringing an adapter out it would be the biggest selling point for me but curious to how it would work myself like for example if I had a 110v dewalt vacuum will I be able to plug it into the power take off socket on the vacuum. Any input appreciated
  3. So I'm in 3 minds as which one to get. Basically my needs would be ripping down 2x and less thicker materials. Not necessarily sheet materials as I'd use my track saw for that purpose. I'm slightly concerned about the flexvolts power even though I've seen it rip 2x material with ease but that's been done with a brand new blade each time. I'm guessing runtime would decrease rapidly as the blade dulls and the other negative would be hooking upto an extractor as you wouldn't have a plug to plug into the extractor. Is it true they are bringing out a power source as mentioned in concord carpenters review which would solve both concerns I have meaning I could buy the flexvolt. Then when it comes to the other two (dw745 and dwe7491) is the 745 lacking in features being an earlier model. I know it has smaller ripping capacity but again that's not a huge concern. Any opinions be greatly appreciated
  4. I'm nearly half and half dewalt and makita. I've one more dewalt battery so chose them
  5. To be honest, I've yet to really test it. I still haven't screwed the plastic handles on either. I'm happy with it but the biggest selling point for me was weight. I just got sick of pulling out the dws780 for small cuts.
  6. I bought the eu model myself even though I was also disappointed with the changes. The blade arbor is different to the US version so you will have to buy all your blades from the US if you do import
  7. Runtime decreases wit each use of the blade I've found. I find myself changing out blades a lot quicker than i would with a corded model.
  8. Have you used this company before. I just checked there site and the kit is £155 now. Great price
  9. Great video. Best reviews I've seen on youtube
  10. Been using the djr187 for the past week now. Although it is an improvement over the older model I am not blown away by it. It still seems miles off corded performance. And I don't know if it's just me but I feel like my makita batteries drain a hell of a lot quicker than my dewalts but they are in higher demanding tools which kind of makes sense
  11. I emailed them and response was just the battery is only covered for one year after that they can't do anything. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks for that heads up. I was gonna pre order. Don't think I will now. Maybe I'll just go with the Makita brushless. Cost me a lot less but the dewalt recip was kinda like my introduction to the flexvolt line as I don't need any of the other flexvolt stuff just yet. Has anyone faced off the Makita vs the fuel yet?
  13. Is there a head to head between the flexvolt and sawzall? Can you link the video you seen?
  14. Anyone used the European model yet and what's your thoughts if so?
  15. They actually replied within 5 minutes, there is a problem while registering the plane and he can fix it once I send on some details. Might be helpful to others experiencing this
  16. I went onto mydewalt today to print out the certificates for tools I registered for the 3 year warranty and my dcp580 plane is only showing a standard 1 year warranty where everything else is showing the 3 year and allows me to download a certificate. Why can I not with the plane as I registered within 30 days of purchase and done everything the same I done with my other tools. I filled in the enquiry form on there website explaining the issue and am awaiting reply. Has anyone ever had this issue or contacted dewalt through the website enquiry
  17. Its how all the drill combos come in europe.
  18. Id get festool for a similar price to milwaukee here ha, i was thinking it might be just dust causing the issue because i had the faulty battery on my multitool cutting plasterboard when the issue occurred as far as i remember so was thinking just opening and cleaning it out would resolve it.
  19. I believe i did once before for something and the only choice i had here in Ireland was going through this power tool supplier that basically works out of a hardware store, hes the official dewalt repair centre and i left my number with him numerous times for different things and he never once got back to me.
  20. Thanks Comp but this is Dewalt and I am in Ireland where we have one official dewalt repair centre which ive heard a few horror stories about.
  21. So as the title says, the fuel gauge no longer works on one of my 5ah battery packs and i am wondering has it happened to anyone else and if its an easy repair or if people think im better off dropping it to repair centre. Its not under warranty as ive no receipt. Also can anyone tell me the type of bit i need for removing the screws, is it t10 security bit
  22. I think he means how does it work on 220v if the batteries only make up 110v. Which is 2 different voltage's, US only use 110v so won't be an issue on there side
  23. We never see near as good sales they see state side.
